Breech baby at 30 weeks driving me bonkers!

DC2 is breech, I know this because I've had growth scans, but also because her head is rammed under my left rib cage and she tap dances on my cervix all day. I'm delivering by c section, so she doesn't 'need' to turn, but by god I wish she would! It's SO uncomfortable! Any tips for jiggling this baby so that she goes head down?!

Look on the ‘spinning babies’ website - loads of ideas..

I feel your pain...DD was transverse so every time she stretched it hurt like hell. I was told to scrub every floor on my hands and knees to get her to turn. Didn't work but my floors were very shiny

Are you sure a kick to the ribs or diaphragm would be any better? Grin

EclecticDream · 05/04/2018 21:29

My DD was breach from 32 weeks to c-section at 39 weeks. Having a skull wedged into a rib cage is possibly the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had... and I've been on guide camp!!

Absolute sympathy and I hope your baby spins round soon Thanks

I'm only 26+4 get serious pain in right rib cage and now scared to death after reading this 😂😂 x

God my first was like this. She didn’t turn. I can’t describe the relief when I felt the pressure release in the c-section. Best feeling ever!!

jamoncrumpets · 05/04/2018 21:52

Biscusting Yes because DC1 was cephalic and it wasn't this uncomfortable at all!

Dc3 was breech until about 32/3 weeks, it was so uncomfortable, i couldn't sleep, had dreadful restless legs and needed to pee all the frigging night. Once she turned i felt so much more comfortable despite being bigger. Hope your baby turns soon op- likely she will.

I'm breech and at 33 weeks rarely feel baby, when I do its more like those first flutters rather than proper kicks.
I hoped it was due to breech position, but it seems not, should I be worried?

The pressure of DD's head under my ribs drove me potty too. She seemed to take the opportunity to build the strength in her legs and neck and spent any awake time of the last few weeks pushing up as though she was trying to get out of my throat Hmm

My rib cage expanded loads during pregnancy for which I blame DD (I only put on 5 kilos so it wasn't weight, and it shrunk back really quickly after she arrived).

Flowers for you.

The positives? DD came out able to hold her own head up which I reckon was from being breach.

Sorry jamoncrumpets, I shouldn’t joke. Have you tried yoga? Long shot but it might help give you a little relief.
