I'm almost 24 weeks. Haven't been able to put my DD to bed for about 4 weeks. Lifting her and rocking her hurts me. She is 2 stone and almost 2. Last night i had to and hurt myself. I have had to put her to bed again tonight, hurt my self again and i am now aching in my left side. OH has had to go out and i just couldn't battle with her to get her to sleep so she is now downstairs again. I feel awful that I'm struggling to pick her up and get her to bed. Anyone else?

23+2 with 2yr old and majorly struggling! DH has an injured leg and can’t help out either! DD bedroom is on the third floor so taking her to bed is killing me!!! Luckily she’s just gone into a toddler bed so no longer needing to life into a cot. I’m permanently tired with SPD. Feeling very lucky to be having a second but also looking forward to baby being here and going back to being a fully functioning mummy! X

Go see an osteopath.

Can you contact your midwife and ask for an immediate referral? I asked at the antenatal clinic at the hospital, and they actually gave me the letter to take downstairs to physio. I was seen within a week.
In the meantime you can buy a size k tubigrip to wear over the bump and your hips to help stabilise things. Sounds like you need a proper belt.
Also stop hoovering, order in the shopping instead of pushing a trolley around, and get some support with household tasks. Should mean you have more energy and strength left for stuff you can't avoid so easily like putting dd to bed.

Permanently tired and PSD here too. Very lucky not to have a toddler this time. Chiropractor for the SPD is worth his weight in gold, I only wear my support belt (bought from amazon as physio was useless in previous pg) when I'm at work as I'm standing all day. At least another month to go, but not more than 2...

Definitely struggling. I feel like every time I see the midwife something more is wrong with me! I’ve got SPD, sciatica, severe anaemia and just started with rib flare. I’m absolutely shattered but can only manage 2-3 hours sleep a night.

I’ve had physio and the exercises do help a lot so I’d push for that. I’ve got a belt, but find it helps if I’m standing/walking but makes things worse if I’m sitting in it (maybe it shifts, not sure?)

So much sympathy for you coping with a toddler, it’s bad enough looking after myself!
