Afternoon x

My DD has asked me to purchase a TT Perfect Prep machine for her, but there seem to be two Confused They are the same price, so is there even a difference?

As they`re so expensive, I want to make sure I buy her the right one lol

TIA xo

I think it’s just the colours that are different?

I’d have a proper look at the concerns about the machine though - I decided against one for my twins after reading up and seeing the feature on watchdog. You can basically mimic what the machine does yourself with a kettle and a jug of water, but have less concern about bacteria :)

Addictedtohavingbabies · 01/04/2018 17:19

I love mine. I just used the kettle with my older three but thought I'd treat myself with my fourth. Just makes everything so much easier and faster and can't imagine not having it now. Bacteria isn't a problem as long as you do the clean cycle regularly and change the filter.
I think there's a new updated version, not sure how it does the job any better but it's something to do with night mode and different lights.

Thanks for your replies x

Yes, one is Night and Day ... £5 difference so not sure if there actually is one Hmm

I've heard, but couldn't swear on it, that the night and day one has a light on it. (I assume to deal with the night bit) and also has a digital display rather than a manual display? Aside from that I don't think there is any difference in usage.

I haven't looked in to it myself but have heard a few say similar.

ClareB83 · 01/04/2018 17:31

I think the night and day has a silent mode for night as well.

But I thought it was twice the price not £5 more.

Do you have links OP?

Oh actually I think Very are taking the muck. The normal one is £59 at John Lewis

My DD wants it in Black Confused

I have only seen them for £100+ in Tesco etc! #cheeky

Ah, just seen it in Black lol x

The older model should be £60 or less in most places!! So half price of the newer one! I think the new model has silent/night light/digital display but it’s double the price! I have the black older model and it’s great! Don’t think it’s worth paying that much extra for the newer one!

Sushirolls · 01/04/2018 18:00

Thank you all x I have requested an email from JL, when the Black one is back in stock.

My only worry is if they discontinue the filters for the old one? I think the new one takes a different one? x

I’ve heated bottles in the microwave for my older 3 kids 😳

Sushirolls · 01/04/2018 18:06

@Fidgety31 My baby is now 12 ...

Didn`t have these posh things when I had my 4! Though I BF anyway lol

The filters look the same to me.

The two blue ones are £59 on Amazon.

Sushirolls · 01/04/2018 19:13

Thank you @ClareB83 Smile

I`m awaiting stock of the Black one from JL Grin

I’ve got the older one but I’d definitely get the newer one with the light and the ability to turn off the sound as the fact that you can’t make bottles in the dark and that the sound startles the baby is the flaw in the older one.

snowy1982 · 02/04/2018 10:12

@sushiroll, I’m not sure whether it’s the old or new model, but I saw the black one on boots website this morning and i’m pretty sure it was down to £70 (or thereabouts) from £100 +
