You're quite limited - hot water, honey and lemon is your friend but you can also take Benylin children's dry cough and sore throat syrup. Double check the labels of everything of course.

I had laryngitis for three ruddy weeks earlier in pregnancy. Eventually I radiated myself with honey, lemon and ginger. Mix it all up until it’s as strong as possible and just drown your insides with it. It was the only thing that helped given limited possibilities

I’m sure I took Vocalzone throat pastilles when I was expecting, as my voice was nearly gone and I needed to speak for work! They really worked for me...(my memory is hazy as I’ve had so many bouts of throat related stuff over years , but I’ve just a quick google and no mention of not being able to take in pregnancy- best to check at pharmacy though).
Hope you get your voice back soon!

The best thing for your voice is lots of steam & doing semi occluded vocal tract excercises with straws & a glass of water. (Google Tom Burke straws will save your life on YouTube)

Anything else is soothing on a sore thrust only, it diesnt affect your vocal chords at all.

I had strep throat for 2 weeks and just got my throat back to normal a few days ago.

You can gargle aspirin (if on it by consultant etc)
Calpol 6plus paracetamol is fine if you can't swallow painkillers.
Honey and lemon lockets are fine.

Anything with a local anaesthetic is a nono in pregnancy unless under doctors instructions.

Salt gargle and steam inhalation will help too.

Defo speak/sign/write for the pharmacist or doctor on what's going on and they can advise but if it gets worse then speak to doctor incase it's morphed into bacterial.

Boots do a lemon / honey / glycerine cough medicine that doesn't contain any actual drugs.

I used it when I lost my voice a week or so ago to soothe the awful dry and scratchy feeling.

I hope you feel better soon.
