Private Growth Scans Berks/London

Hi all, We have recently relocated from abroad to Berkshire and am wondering if private growth scans are a possibility either in Berkshire or in London? During my first pregnancy I had 6 growth scans between 24-37 weeks (attached the babies growth chart for reference). Our son was delivered at 38 weeks by C section at 4.74kg/10lb 7oz as the NHS only offer the two scans here and nothing after 20 weeks we would like to pay to track our second child's progress. Any recommendations please?
Thanks all!

How “medical” do you want these scans? There are lots of places where you can have gender scans, 3D scans, Babybond has a couple of places in Berkshire. They are run by sonographers.

Fetal medical centre in London is where I had my early scans done, because of fitting round work. Doctors perform your scans. Incredibly detailed, but I doubt they will give you six scans between 24-37 weeks unless clinical need. They recommended one following the 20 week scan to me.

Are you under Royal Berkshire? Just to say they are very good in my experience. If you need additional scans they will not hesitate to give you them, but there would have to be a clinical reason.

Thanks, I guess these are a mixture of both clinical and for personal need. The decision for my first c section was made based in the measurement of the baby as I'm relatively slim and my consultant felt it was necessary. I'm not under Royal Berks and am still waiting for my referral to the hospital I have chosen (outside of Berks county) so I've not yet had a NHS scan yet, I'm currently 18 weeks but my midwife has referred me to the consultant led unit due to my prior birth history.

Hi, the Fetal Medicine Centre on Harley Street is fantastic. The money gets put back into their research too.

Thank you! I'll take a look :-)

I second the feral medicine centre I had a good experience. Though I'd also add that if you have a medical need you will get more scans. I had lots on the NHS.

In Oxon rather than Berks (but not far) but Dr Victoria Heath at the Beard Mill clinic is wonderful.

If you had a previous baby over 4.5kg (especially at 38 weeks!) I’m very surprised that you aren’t being offered growth scans by your NHS provider. Plus gestational diabetes testing?

Thanks Didnt, I had the GSS testing first time around which was negative, they also did extensive testing on our son when he arrived (he looked like a 3 month old not a newborn), again this was all clear. We'll see what my consultant says when I get to see them :-)
