I am having a terible day today and need to have a moan! I've hardly slept for the last few weeks due to terrible SPD. My daughter was up in the night with sore teeth last night and has therefore been really tired and grumpy today. I am knackered and therefore extremely short-tempered today. I am so snappy I'm annoying myself. I feel like the worst mum in the world but I have just had enough...

Have burst into tears randomly about 3 times already today
Please convince me it is just hormones - I'm 35 weeks pregnant.

i am also in a terrible mood. have tons of things to do and no motivation. not pregnant though so at least you have an excuse

RGPargy · 09/05/2007 13:12

Dont worry RF, it's deffo probably most likely to be hormones!! BTW, what is SPD??

If it's any consolation, i keep getting disturbed sleep too due to being up peeing all night (i'm 11+1) and feel like absolute death lately. I've also felt like bursting into tears just because i can lol.

Dont worry about it. Take a step back and have a chuckle at how grumpy you are and remember : If you dont laugh, you cry!!

Chin up!

I had a bit of an argument with the pharmicist and his photo machine, that didn't work, so had to print out pics again DIY, jobby, long story, but I think I probably overreacted as he didn't want to give me my money back, I think i became ranting crazy women till I got my own way only 25 weeks pg scary

ShowOfHands · 09/05/2007 13:29

Sleep deprivation, unhappy dd and pelvic pain? Plus the hormones from being very pregnant? RedFraggle, I think you're totally normal.

I'm 39 weeks and burst into tears yesterday because I couldn't get the teabag out of the cup and into the bin without dripping tea very slightly on the wipe-clean tiles. Oh yes, I think you're doing fine.

Mumpbump · 09/05/2007 13:31

I remember being like this last time. Burst into tears at the smallest thing. Have been a bit like it this time around and I'm only at 19 weeks!! Any way you can get a neighbour or family to take dd off your hands for a couple of hours so you can get some sleep?

Mumpbump · 09/05/2007 13:31

LOL, Showofhands!

PregnantGrrrl · 09/05/2007 13:34

if you're the worst mum, then i'll join you. DS kept me up all night, and i'm not well, and i feel like a horrible, rotten mother.

i need chocolate and my duvet i think!

chocolatte · 10/05/2007 10:05

Awww poor you. Must be rough not being able to sleep because of your bump and your LO keeping you up too. Sending u happy vibes! And yes, its hormones and sleep deprivation so i think you deserve a nice treat. Chocolate anyone? Just think you'll meet your gorgeous new babeee soon! And I'm jealoous as hell - I miss my bump! x

beckmo · 10/05/2007 10:11

Just keep off loading on here-it'll make you feel better.Sounds like perfectly reasonable behavious WOITHOUT the SPD and tired DS.

If it's any consolation I burst into tears last night after dropping a bit of soup down my top. Had to pretend it had burnt me to cover up patheticness of it!

polly8664 · 10/05/2007 10:17

LOL Beckmo. I cry at the drop of a hat, and i'm finding that i'm sooo tetchy. often felt low before and during prgnancy so not too bothered about that, but since Friday, the temper has been flaring up. Good to know i can blame it on the hormones (26 weeks). Poor hubby is so mild mannered that he just lets me shout, but then i get annoyed that he doesn't tell me to stop being a stroppy cow.

RedFraggle · 10/05/2007 16:55

Sorry to have posted and ran yesterday, our house is on the market and we got told there was a viewing so I was busy tidying up etc then escaping the house with dd so we wouldn't be in the way.

So glad it's not just me! I'm crying now - again. My mum called me this morning to tell me that her new garden furniture had arrived and I just burst into tears on the phone. I hate being like this!

RGPargy, SPD is pain in your pelvis and hips. It is keeping me awake for ages each night. Grrrr

Sorry to hear you are feeling sad RedFraggle. Come and have a moan on the ante-natal thread, we've all been feeling crappy too!

Greyclay · 10/05/2007 17:24

This thread is just what I need right now. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and am feeling SUPER vulnerable for some reason so I can relate. Not sure if it's because I don't feel like my old self physically or not. Work is extremely busy and I feel like I cannot keep up with everything. Keeping the tears at bay today....

I hope you feel better too.

sputnik · 10/05/2007 18:18

It's the hormones RedFraggle. Plus the SPD and sleep deprivation. Hope you're feeling a bit better today. Second Foxybrown, you should be on the june thread shouldn't you? We're always having a good moan at each other and it does help!

Sumsey · 10/05/2007 21:10

add me to the list too..had a bad (birth related) dream this morning and ive been crying on and off all day

aintnomountainhighenough · 10/05/2007 21:38

Hey RedFraggle don't be down, of course you aren't the worlds worst mum. Just think of all those happy birth hormones that you will have in 5 weeks time and of course the gorgeous baby and how happy and proud your DD will be with the new brother or sister.

Washersaurus · 10/05/2007 21:55

Don't be down RedFraggle because I AM the worlds worst mum at the moment - I have been grouchy and tearful all week and DH is quite understandably getting fed up with me. My poor little DS I feel so guilty...I am only 28 weeks too!
