Severe cramping.

Hi all. Currently 7+1, and experiencing some pretty severe cramping that crippled me. I'm doubled over in pain. Doesn't feel like period cramps, more of a pulling deep in my uterus. Had it all checked out, baby fine, bloods normal, everything looks good. Has anyone experienced similar? I read a lot of people saying they have mild cramps but never severe...

I did with my first but not this one. Was convinced I was having a miscarriage every time as it was so painful. Dc is 17 months now and perfectly healthy, try not to worry too much Flowers

Thanks @GummyGoddess - you don't read anywhere that severe cramping is normal and mosh sites just tell you to seek help or go to A&E (though trying not to read too much!). Nothing advising on what to do if you have severe cramping and healthy baby! Very hard to hide my colleagues when it stops me in my tracks...

No, everything just said mild cramping and it was definitely severe! I wondered if it was an ectopic pregnancy too with the amount of pain it caused.

Yep I've had this in both successful pregnancies (I was 8 weeks with both too) the cramps were so severe they woke me up. Everything is growing and stretching including the ligaments that support your uterus. My doctor thought it was round ligament pain, I'm not sure. Everything was fine though, the pain settled after a day or so.
Make sure you're drinking enough and put your feet up a bit.

If it’s bad you need medical attention. Don’t leave it. Either EPU or A&E. They can do a scan and bloods. Don’t leave it. Xxx
