Tips on how to get some energy?

Pregnant with 3rd dc. I'm 16 weeks now.

Just looking for some advice/tips on how to get some energy back?

I'm a sahm/carer (eldest ds is disables) and as soon as I've dropped the dcs at school, I find myself just coming home and watching tv. Then I usually fall asleep/play on my phone and the next thing it's lunch time. I make lunch then I still don't find myself doing much.

I'm so so tired and I need to find a way of getting some sort of energy back.

I'm recently recovering from hypermesis (extreme sickness) and have spent lots of time in hospital since finding out I'm pregnant. The last 2 weeks or so have been much better and fingers crossed I'm over the worst. I'm still being sick maybe 4/5 times a week but all in all, I feel ok sickness wise.

I just need to get my bum into gear. Even though I don't work, I never ever sit in front of the tv in the day. It doesn't get switched on until dcs are home from school. I'm always on top of everything house work wise. I'd like to at least get back to that if I could.

Any tips on getting some energy? I'm in the 2nd trimester now and don't feel 'blooming' at all. Just constantly tired and lethargic.

Thank you x

First of all, cut yourself some slack! Being pregnant is hard work, even more so if you already have children to care for, not to mention your HG. Relish in the fact that you have literally the best excuse ever to cut back on house work.
I know though that it can be frustrating to feel like you've had an utterly unproductive day. What I've found has helped me is to stay hydrated at all times and stay away from screens whilst resting. If you don't want to nap, take the time to read a book or the newspaper instead. It makes you feel a lot more productive than browsing on your phone.
Being sociable also really makes a difference to me. Meeting a friend for cake gets me out of the house and takes my mind of worries, tiredness etc.
Last but not least, gentle exercise is great to get your bloods flowing. Even if it's just 10 minutes of stretches in the living room. This is of course if your GP has given the all clear for exercise.
Hope you'll feel more energised again soon! At the end of the day though, get as much rest as your body asks for and don't feel guilty about it.

Tbh Ralia's response is spot on I think. The only other thing I can think of is getting lots of sleep.

Thank you for both responses.

Im trying not to be too hard on myself. I've been though hell lately if I'm honest but it's just not me to sit about doing nothing all day.

I'm fine to exercise so I think I might try something gentle and see if that helps. I know I probably don't drink enough water either. It's just frustrating as I've got so many tiny little things I need to do and it's all building up but I just never do it. I've lost my mojo lol. Thanks for replies :-)
