Can I eat a creme brulee from Waitrose? Please say yes...!

I'd think so. The egg is cooked, right?

Victoria72 · 08/05/2007 16:23

Looking at other recipes, it seems to be mixed/stirred in with hot ingredients i.e. cream etc., so it would cook a little but it obviously wouldn't be 'hard boiled'. I'm assuming it's ok but just thought I'd check.

I've put on a stone. If it came to blows, I might win.

Yes, the egg is cooked.

KathyMCMLXXII · 08/05/2007 16:51

Anyway, you mix it in with hot ingredients then bake the whole lot in the oven for 20 mins until the egg is completely set.

on this subject.. is philadelphia ok?

sweetheart · 09/05/2007 20:46

I'd say phili was fine - but then I continued to eat nearly everything during my pregnancy.

SweetyDarling · 09/05/2007 21:19

Phili is fine. Just don't eat blue cheeses, mold ripened cheeses or unpasturised soft cheeses.
