Panicking that I've used acid on my face while pregnant

Hi,

I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I'm a bit worried that I may have harmed the pregnancy in some way as I've used Glossier's Solution for the last week or so. I didn't think about it but apparently they 'don't recommend using it if pregnant or breastfeeding'. Argh! Feel so stupid. Just wasn't thinking it might be bad for me/baby (it's been a long time since I was pregnant.)

Could I have done real damage?

Thanks.

Looking at this link the ‘risk’ appears to be that your skin would be extra sensitive during pregnancy. I’m not an expert, but I don’t think there is any suggested risk to anything affecting your baby.

Don't panic. The only thing you absolutely must avoid is retinol and there isn't any in Solution. It's more likely that your skin might be more sensitive in pregnancy and likely to react to the acids, or you might be more prone to melasma.

Caroline Hirons mentions use in pregnancy here.

This link mentions salicylic acid as a risk if taken orally. It is contained I. The ingredients and if the product but this link also suggests that low doses when applied topically shouldn’t be a risk. www.amodelrecommends.com/2017/01/26/pregnancy-safe-skincare/

Phew. Thanks. I don't believe I have used any retinol whilst pregnant. I did have some but haven't used for a few weeks now and it was only 'This Works No Wrinkles Night Repair'. It doesn't even make mention of retinol other than far down the ingredients list. If I have used since 'being pregnant' it was probably before I actually conceived.
