21+4 baby lying low

Anyone else had or having this issue? I'm convinced baby is lying VERY low. I feel kicks and rolls very low, literally above my c section scar. She was laying very low at my scan next to my bladder. Today and yesterday i am fairly uncomfortable. Sometimes feels like I've been kicked in the cervix but with her being so low i can imagine thats why. Anyone experianced or experiencing this? Was everything ok? I'm such a worrier lol

I'm not sure. The only thing i was told about my placenta was it was high. I haven't really checked my notes. I tried a warm bath and drinking lots but nothing is taking it away apart from sitting with my legs apart today. Going to book an appointment for my midwife on tuesday if possible. I don't know if i should be worried about it or not and thats the annoying thing. I don't want to have to go to the hospital over nothing especially when its snowing pretty heavy still. I know they say the second baby is normally heavier also. So maybe thats why? I am also on aspirin to make sure she is a bigger baby because my DD was only 5lb 12oz which apparently is to small x

The pressure in my bum has gone. It now just feels like something is up my vagina. Xx

Oh I see, I don’t feel like there’s anything in there I just feel like I get kicked there from the inside and it’s such a weird feeling!

If you can’t get due to the snow can’t you ring triage? They’ll be on the phones today and will be able to tell you if it’s something to be expected or tell you if they think it’s should be looked at x

SamanthaH92 · 18/03/2018 14:25

I had this type of uncomfortable feeling before though. Silly question after having one baby already but is it possible that she is laying so low down that she is putting all her weight on my bladder and cervix? Causing it to push down a little? X

CremeDeSudo · 18/03/2018 19:13

I'd be tempted to call and ask triage. They won't mind. I think the feeling of there been something there seems unusual though. Let us know what they say x

SamanthaH92 · 18/03/2018 19:20

I haven't rang them. I've stopped picking my toddler up, and laid down most the after noon. The feeling has gone away. Maybe i have over done it? I did walk an hour to a park, round the park for an hour, and an hours walk back home. Then the next day into and around town and home. I think i maybe need to slow down and with the baby been so low that could possibly explain it. I defiently will speak to midwife though x

Maybe ring for advice in the morning.

I had quite bad pains recently, pressure, back ache and period type pains following a busy afternoon and possibly carrying too many bags. It was quite bad and I was told to rest for a full day after calling the EPU. This really helped. The next day I felt bruised but then was fine.

LemonMuffin837 · 18/03/2018 23:25

Mine was low for a long time, never felt any movement above my belly button until almost the third trimester, my placenta is also high - this I've been grateful for, I've not experienced any rib kicks at all!
Most of my movement felt as though it was near my bladder for ages.

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 08:25

I don't feel movement above belly button. I felt a few last night close to my belly button but they soon went back to being at my c section scar. DD was breach so her bum was low down but her head was under my ribs with her arms up and her leggs straight up too. Sort of in a U shape. But she was definetly higher up lol. X

OP posts:
LemonMuffin837 · 19/03/2018 09:10

Mines in a U shape but other way round, his head his down and his bum is under my ribs, then feet down by his head, i get lots of kicks in my left hip.
Even now it feels like he's only in the bottom half of my stomach if I feel around, feels like the top half is empty or just full of water. I'm 39 weeks now and they think he's quite big too.

CremeDeSudo · 19/03/2018 09:32

I don't think I've ever had a rib kick. I get sick of people telling me how low I am. Yes I know, thanks!

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 09:39

Lol i don't even look pregnant yet so i don't get any comments yet. I didn't look pregnant with DD1 either. Infact the midwife when i went in for reduced movements didn't believe i was 36 weeks. Also during my c section the midwife then said are you sure your pregnant? I am quite chubby anyways so i am not expecting to get much of a bump. I can feel this little one kicking my bladder repeatedly this morning xx

@CremeDeSudo I get told how low I am too, I'm huge though I look like Humpty Dumpty. I was the same size at 25 weeks as my friend was at full term. Everyone's like "ooo he's dropped won't be long", but they've been saying that for the past 10 weeks 🙈 I'm massive, I get it, I can't walk properly, I don't need reminding!

CremeDeSudo · 19/03/2018 10:56

Exactly! And I always wish my bump was higher and more 'normal' looking.

Also massive here. Have looked pregnant since 8wks and am massive! 😮

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 11:35

I'm quite jealous ladies lol. I was hoping i would get a bump with this one instead of people assuming i had just put a little bit of weight on or saying i didn't know you were pregnant once born lol x

OP posts:
LemonMuffin837 · 19/03/2018 16:11

@SamanthaH92 don't be jealous, when I first found out I was pregnant I couldn't wait to get a bump. By 12 weeks I had to start wearing maternity clothes, it grew and grew and now I'm struggling. My pelvis can't take it, my back is killing, I can barely walk for more than 10 mins. Sitting, standing and laying down hurts so I can't sleep. Basically just living life in pain, it really isn't fun!

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 16:23

I have fairly bad spd anyways that gets a lot worse by walking and standing. I'm just hoping these next few months fly by xx

We're a joyful bunch aren't we 😄

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 16:49

Haha we certainly are BUT i am so glad i joined this forum. I joined another but found the people commenting on some stuff i posted a bit judgmental. I don't feel like that on this forum. Yes i am a worrier but i like that your not judged on here and people actually reply lol. I don't know why we do this to our selves for 9 months 😂 babys gonna come out looking like daddy and be daddys littoe follower lol. Xx

OP posts:
CremeDeSudo · 19/03/2018 18:53

DS came out looking like DH but now looks like me and is a proper Mummy's Boy 😉 This one is a girl, wondering if she'll look like Daddy and be a Daddy's girl!

I have to say, I'm very much looking forward to not having to be pregnant again. Not long now!

DirtyThirties · 19/03/2018 19:42

OP I don't want to worry you, but I have heard of quite rare cases of pressure, which feels like the baby is literally going to fall out, being quite serious and can be a sign of a weak cervix. The cure, I think, is a stitch in the cervix until you're ready to deliver. It's probably not that serious, but it is a commonly dismissed symptom so don't get fobbed off if you're worried

BunloafAndCrumpets · 19/03/2018 19:58

The pressure /something in there sounds unusual and I'd want to get checked.

Only feeling movements below tummy button sounds entirely normal tho, at 21 weeks the top of your uterus has only just reached your tummy button anyway so most of the baby will have to be below it!

SamanthaH92 · 19/03/2018 21:03

Thanks guys that feeling has gone today. But i am still going to mention it to midiwfe.
DD1 came out looking the spit of OH. Almost like twins but now she looks a bit like me as a child. Still very much like daddy though. This baby is another little girl although we tried to time it as close to ovulation for a boy lol. Looking at the 20 week scan she is also the spit of daddy. Big pout bless her xx

OP posts:
CremeDeSudo · 20/03/2018 10:29

I wondered about it being a sign of a weak cervix, and potentially bulging membranes but didn't want to scare OP! OP, make sure you mention this threat to your MW! x

SamanthaH92 · 20/03/2018 11:06

I will make sure i mention it. I couldn't get in to see her today. Its gone away now though. I just keep getting round ligament pain now and again atm. I think my water intake hasn't been the best either. Baby is kicking away low down still. At this rate i don't think she will be moving up. I am having 2 extra scans and i am under consultant led. Xx
