Hospital changing scan date at last minute. So annoyed!

Just need to rant about this as I think it's utterly unacceptable on part of hospital.

I was supposed to have my 12 week scan on Monday. I've had a text from hospital saying it's been changed to Tuesday! DH had gotten time off to come with me, but now it's been changed he probably won't be able to be there as it's so short notice.

I'm going to have to go alone, ill with hyperemesis and already worried as I'm no bigger than I was 12 weeks ago. I had a private scan at 7 weeks (ivf pregnancy) that showed twins, so I don't know where they are hiding.

I know the NHS is in total crisis, but I really think changing such important appointments at such short notice is a disgrace. Feeling very upset right now.

Sorry, just found on ACAS that fathers and partners are entitled to unpaid time off, but there is no legal right for it to be paid

Thank you Bath DH has explained to work it's a legal right, but they basically don't seem to care. He's not the most pushy of people and I think he's scared to push it. He's going to email HR on Monday though. It's really shocking on behalf of his company. I can't quite believe their attitude.

I had this all through pregnancy, annoying but understandable. Let us know how it goes Thanks You deserve some good and reassuring news after the torturous journey you've had to get here.

I can see why this is annoying and I do feel sympathy for you - I have to go.to.my.12 week scan without my husband too and it's disappointing. However sometimes these things happen and it's a shame but the NHS don't have unlimited resources. I guess the issue is really with your OH's workplace not adhering to the law, rather than the hospital being a 'disgrace...
