Disapointed after sweep

So am 39+4 and had a sweep yesterday at 2:30 due to bad braxton hicks and spd, and got loads of contractions proper ones so strong I couldn't walk or talk this went on for 6 hours every 10 mins along with nausea and then they stopped nothing since. My Braxton hicks are back and I have bad lower back pain and loose bowels (sorry tmi) but feel deflated now was really hoping it was all going to get moving. Is there anyway to get them started again. I have no partner due to domestic abuse so sex is not a option unfortunately. Been bouncing on birthing ball scrubbing the house like mad walking loads and going up and down the stairs as much as the spd will allow me

No more progress in fact I feel like all he signs have vanished and I am back to square one. Its quite disappointing as I was hoping to be well under way by now. If it wasnt for the normal aches and heavy feeling that comes with being this pregnant I would think was back to being 20 weeks again.

oh bless you! It is such a shame as the latent phase of labour can be like this and last for a few days. Does sound like you are so nearly there. Did you manage to get hold of an Clary Sage oil? they sell it in Holland & Barrets if there is one close to you? Is meant to help induce labour naturally.

No not been able to get out far from the house till today so will see about getting some today. Its so annoying all this waiting and things stopping and starting. I feel so normal today its confusing I haven't felt this ok at through out the whole pregnancy lol

maybe its the quiet before the storm

I went into labour on a night that I went to bed early (normally go to bed at around midnight) but on this one evening I was so tired went to bed at 9pm and woke up at 1am in labour! Maybe have a evening for you nice bath and a early night you never know!

Maybe got a few things to do today since I feel fine. But hopefully have a early night and try and relax just so frustrating thinking this is it then nothing. I do feel like I am back at the beginning getting cravings as well which I find strange god knows what my body is doing but this little girl is holding on tight in there maybe she is waiting for my auntie to get better lol

Actually that was similar for me tbf, I went to bed early as OH was working nights (typically) and woke at 3am with my waters broken!

Had a bath before bed too with Rose oil.

(Although didn't go into active labour for ages....)

I like the idea of all the natural inducing oils not even tempted by caster oil though that's a defo no no for me. But I am about to run the shop now as I am dying for some pasties and some pizza its all I can think of. Anyone ever had cravings this close to the end I never had any signs with my other kids just contractions that came from nowhere.

Don't know about carbs just had to go the shop again as I was dying for ice cream and apples lol feel like I am back at the beginning of pregnancy all over again. Lost more of my mucus plug today but no other signs. Be nice if she would come tonight our weather forecast says snow for tomorrow and Sunday lol

Oh no of course it's meant to be dreadful weather again. Hopefully it won't be anything like last lot of snow!

I know I am dreading it, it will be my luck it will be heavy snow and I will go into full blown labor lol
