Literally several times a day. I'm 31 weeks.

At least I think that's what it is. Do you think I should mention it to mw? Feels esp frequent today.

That's good news if midwife isn't concerned. My son was also born with the cord around the neck and I think that's what made me look it up at the time. Have a good rest today!

That’s really interesting, my hiccupy baby was also born with the cord round his neck - all fine though.

I'm at 34 weeks. I have no idea if my baby ever has hiccups or not. No idea how to tell the difference between that and other movement.

She moves loads and I can tell if she's turning herself and I can usually figure out where her feet are but no idea about hiccups. Grin

My son didn't, maybe one or twice!

I feel a regular jerk or pulse; my whole belly moves sometimes. He just did it again actually!

Ah then no don't think she's ever had the hiccups.

I get soft pulsing but only in bladder it's because her movements occasionally set off bladder spasms. It starts with a jabbing pain to my bladder with her movement then pulsing. The spasms are a bit annoying after awhile kind of like an eye twitching. I think hiccups might be preferable. Grin

The bladder spasms started again earlier because she's trying very hard to move herself into hopefully a head down position. Currently stuck at transverse after being foot breech before.

My first baby had hiccups a lot; my other two didn't. It felt bizarre! She was a c/section in the end and she hasn't had a lot of hiccups since birth - she will be 21 soon!

Awwwww I'd forgotten the hiccups

Thanks

Awww it's a good thing - it means they are practising breathing!

However if they have them constantly (as in, nonstop for a long time, not just a session or two a day), I would ring your health care team to be sure, as prolonged excessive hiccuping could be a sign something is up (very unlikely but best to be safe!).
