Since friday morning i have been sore and in pain right where my pubic bone is, it hurts to walk, bend, move, turn over in bed and i can forget about putting trousers on because as soon as i lift my leg im in agony. I have been getting a lot of backache too but not sure if they are connected.

I have an app at epau tomorrow at 12. Would they be able to tell me or is it something i need to see my gp about?

Yes it sounds like it. But not sure the backpain is part of it.

I have had a little google this morning and found that backache can be a part of it.

Yep, definitely sounds like it. I was referred to physio for mine by my community midwife and had the same symptoms as you. Hope the EPU are able to offer some assistance/refer you. :)

I've had it too, with v similar symptoms, including back pain. Make sure you are referred to physio ASAP by midwife, as the sooner you get help, the less bad it will be.

In the meantime, keep legs together at all times! So keep them together when turning over in bed, and getting in and out of bed, when getting in and out car (put a plastic bag on seat to help you to turn). Sit down to put shoes/pants/trousers on. Don't walk long distances.

Looking back mine started 8-10 weeks but put it down to relaxin (hormones).

I was fine from 14 weeks until 26 weeks and since I can barely walk and went off work. Chiropractor had helped. But I really have ti limit what I do. If I do too much I really suffer later (35 weeks atm).
I would describe it as the front of my bits (like where my clit is) wants to burst open. And back ache with it.

Does sound like it OP. Definitely one for your midwife rather than GP. In my area you self refer to physio, but your midwife will be able to let you know the process where you are.

In the mean time make sure you're following all the advice not to exacerbate it (I think there's stuff on the nhs page?), so things that posters have already mentioned about sitting on a bag to get in the car etc. Try to keep your knees together when you're turning over, no standing on one leg so sit down to put on clothes/shoes, try and sit properly with your legs symmetrical (oh how I missed sitting curled up on the sofa!). A pillow between your knees when you sleep might help as it keeps things all lined up where they should be, I also found a thin pillow under my waist helped with that. If you're having a good day, still take it easy or you'll regret it the following day!
