Next2me with sleepyhead?

Katyx3 · 07/03/2018 11:27

My next2me is coming today! (First time Mum and he's not due to arrive until 8th July but for it better than half price!)
Bought a sleepyhead at a baby event week or two ago after many recommendations and great reviews.
Has anyone used them together?? I know the guidelines say not for unsupervised sleeping but I know a lot of people do use them together and just looking for some feedback please 😘 x

We did and have stopped using the sleepyhead as we found it made our baby sweaty as the air doesn’t circulate. It does fit though and seeing as you have already got them both it’s worth a go.

Yes I have used both with my 2 with no issues. Both of them loved the sleepyhead.

Yes my LO slept in both together until I moved her into her room in her big cot at 6 Months. She stopped using the sleepyhead soon after that.

Yes I'm using both and highly recommend. DS is 3 weeks and will only sleep in the sleepyhead - it's much cosier than the chicco on its own. Officially the sleepyhead is only for supervised sleeping but everyone I know (including several doctors) uses them at night.

My DD is nearly 4 months and is only just sleeping occasionally in her next2me. The sleepyhead was a lifesaver until I became more comfortable with cosleeping

Yes can be used together - I have bought both again after using them with my first dad.

and also the angelcare monitor with movement pads work when used with both of these (if the supervised sleeping is worrying anyone)

Yes I did for night time sleeping until she went off the sleepyhead at about four months. Well it was a bednest but same principle. This time I’m getting the next to me so I’m glad it works with that too!

mommybear1 · 08/03/2018 10:45

Yes can be used together and the sleepyhead is fantastic- good luck with your pregnancy

mintich · 08/03/2018 10:48

Yes I used the two together until 6 months when she went into her own room. I'll use that combo again for my next baby

pinyata · 08/03/2018 10:58

Midwife advice was that sleepyheads are okay with for naps but not for sleeping through the night?

SazCat · 08/03/2018 11:05

Yes we used a Sleepyhead in a Next to Me crib until 7 months. We found it the best solution for our DD who didn't like to be put down.

Until around 4 months we also used a swaddle grobag as she used to wake herself up with flailing arms!

It wasn't as hard as we thought it'd be to transfer her to the cot bed in her own room at 7 months. She actually adapted really quickly, I think we got the timing just right though.

carryondoctor · 08/03/2018 11:13

That's exactly what we did!

We didn't use the next2me with the side down, because we have a memory foam mattress and those aren't safe for babies, but put the sleepyhead in the next2me. We meant to take it away at 6 months, but she screamed so much that we gave in until she started pulling up and rolling. Then she had to go cold turkey!!

The sleepyhead was like magic for getting her to sleep.

It's top of the list for the one I'm currently baking, I can tell you!

We used a sleepyhead with a snuzpod.
