2nd pregnancy, and did have SPD with DD from 26 weeks, was on crutches. But I'm only 10 weeks atm!
Doesn't seem possible it can happen this early, have pain in my right side that is my lower back and whenever I walk it hurts the most. Have just gone to put pj bottoms on and bloody hell that hurt!
Anyone been through the same ?

I haven't I had it at 28weeks, but I believe you can, you have my sympathies though, take it easy Flowers

Yes it started much much earlier in subsequent pregnancy BUT it never got as bad as I was careful - rested lots, didn't aggravate it, got straight back to the osteopath!

Me!! Started at about 9/10 weeks
Have been seeing a Physio since 11 weeks
2nd pregnancy, only had it very very mildly with my first
This time... Jesus its crippling

Loosemoose28 · 07/03/2018 10:31

I had it around 8-10weeks. Its all the hormonal changes and relaxing hormones.

It settled for abit but came back with avengence at 26 weeks ans i had to go off work at 31weeks as I was going homw in tears everyday. Im now 34 weeks and in some ways its better but it does still appear every evening if i have done anything in the day- even with a supermarket shop I will pay for it latee.

I started around 12 weeks and it seemed to peak around 20 weeks which was horrendous at the time, but whether I'm just doing the right things to avoid discomfort now and cope better I don't know. My pelvis still clicks away though and I really notice it when I'm cleaning the house or doing lots of 'up and down' things. Also find I can't lie on my back at all if I ever want to get up again or feel my legs haha! At least we all live in the reassurance that giving birth will fix us!

Started much earlier in 2nd pregnancy for me. However, it also mostly went away after about 15 weeks, iirc. Which completely amazed me, because I had it pretty much up to the end (from about 4 months) in pregnancy 1. So don't lose hope.
If you can afford it, get yourself to a physio, ideally one who specialises in women's health. If you're in London I can recommend one if you want to send me a dm.

Yes unfortunately

happy2bhomely · 07/03/2018 15:37

Yep, it was my first pregnancy symptom at 6/7 weeks with dc5.

Bluebirdsky · 07/03/2018 15:42

Yes I think if you have had it in a previously it can start much earlier in the next pregnancy. I would see if you can get a physio referral as soon as possible.
