Have you been seen by a dr?

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 05/03/2018 19:28

Yes they prescribed it but still worry about taking it. Espadrilles the pharmacy didn't put the leaflet in the box. . Said won't x Ray until. Baby born so grin and bear it.
No exaggeration I can barely move. It's agony. Just had hot bath (that was interesting trying to get out) now wedged on arm chair with hot water bottles on the worst areas.
X

I've just had the same, though without being pregnant, and was told that they wouldn't x-ray to see if there was a break because there's nothing that can be done anyway. Mine lasted three weeks of really intense pain and a week of breathlessness and I took 2 paracetemol with 2 ibuprofen a couple of times a day. I really feel for you Flowers

ExhaustedAndHormonal · 05/03/2018 19:36

Im not allowed ibuprofen unfortunately. Until the baby is out anyway.
It's awful isn't it. Don't help dp and DS keep being comical and hurts to laugh.. If I could I'd bang their heads together lmao

I was dreading being sick - I honestly don't know how I would've done it! And coughing - that was really horrible.

Sorry, I forgot about ibuprofen and pregnancy. I don't know how I would've survived without it!

I have being prescribed this for my head aches (now almost 36 weeks), doctor told me totally safe, however they seemed to knock me out so only took them once 🙈 x

Duskybluebell · 05/03/2018 23:38

Dihydracodeine is safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding (unlike plain codeine which should be avoided in the third trimester and if breastfeeding as can suppress respiratory effort in newborns).

Take whatever is prescribed for you, it may help a bit!

Soon2bemum2017 · 06/03/2018 04:40

I was given it at about 34 weeks for fake labour pains and took it wuite a few times. I was told it was perfectly safe. 🙂

Thanks. Took one lot at 7pm, and made me feel sick but to be honest I hadn't eaten much so didn't help. Avoided taking somebefore bed as that's when baby is active and I watch the movement ( had some reduced episodes lately) and didn't want to fall asleep without monitoring movements.
However woke at 2am could barely. Move so took some then, and again just now. I'm. Fine if I don't move about haha. Gonna take a slow stroll later I think to hopefully help not stiffen up and get this baby moving downwards hahaha. Then when she's out I'm not so limited on what I can take
Thank you for your advice ladies.

Dihydrocodeine is fine for pregnancy and breastfeeding. It will make you constipated though.

Its codeine phosphate that needs to be avoided.

Hope you feel better soon OP ive pulled a load of muscles over my ribs, I would dread to labour right now. Sneezing is agony.
