Brown spotting first trimester :(

I'm 8 weeks and yesterday noticed when I went to the toilet that I had brown discharge / old blood in my knickers. I called the on call midwife and they've asked me to go in tomorrow morning for a scan.
I had a private scan on Saturday and saw HB but now confused with this brown stuff. Anyone gone through this? It's my 2nd baby, and didn't notice anything like that with my 1st.

@CobaltRose have you contacted your local hospital lovely?

Not yet. I've only been getting VERY minor spotting for a day or so. It's literally a tiny bit in the morning but that's it. I'm not in any pain so I'm hoping it's nothing major. My first midwife appt is next week. If it continues for much longer I'll definitely be calling them.

@CobaltRose I'd get check out, I had my scan done today strong heart vet, the baby is the right size everything brilliant, they then informed me and my partner I have a subchorionic haematoma above the gestation sac they said will either absorb or cause spotting or bleeding but should effect the baby! @charlottexox here's my scan bad picture because they weren't supposed to give it to me 8 weeks, 15mm small and everything is all good apart from the slight size

@Markygirl1995 aw great news Hun! Here's my little kidney at exactly 9 weeks. 10 weeks tomorrow, can't wait for 12W scan now! X

@charlottexox crazy did you see the limbs and heartbeart?

@Markygirl1995 yes saw a little stump that'll be its arm and yes saw HB. Has a private scan at 7 weeks too and got to hear it which was lovely is this your first?

@charlottexox was it private?? How much did you pay? This is my second however I miscarried the last one in December so I think it's what they call a rainbow baby as never had a period in between

My first 7 week one was private and got me £59. This one at 9 weeks was an NHS one. Sorry to hear about your loss @Markygirl1995 I love hearing when people get their rainbows 🌈 😀
