Mine did. Baby born at 39 weeks and that was that.

Twocatsonebaby · 23/02/2018 21:45

That gives me hope :)

Mine went away too Smile

In pregnancy I think its usually due to the baby pressing on nerves so should lift when baby's out. I had it a bit in last pregnancy but only up until I delivered; nothing afterwards

I know a few people who had sciatica when pregnant, and they all said it vanished when the baby was born.

Thank you all ♥ gives me a lot of comfort. Sometimes it hurts too much to do anything. I just have to keep pushing myself

I had sacroiliac joint issues and sciatica when pregnant. The sacroiliac joint issues persisted for a long time after birth, but the sciatica resolved almost instantly once the weight of the baby wasn't pressing on nerves.

melissasummerfield · 23/02/2018 21:52

Yes, as soon as it pops out the pain will be gone! I had it with all three babies and it dissapeared as soon as they were born.

It's miserable, isn't it? I remember being unable to sleep due to the pain, I couldn't roll over in bed, get out of the bath by myself, go upstairs without agony, couldn't sit, couldn't stand... My dad has had sciatica for a few weeks now and I can see how utterly ground down by it he is getting. It's such a horrible pain, much sympathy OP.

Mine went straight away after giving birth, I've only met one person who still had trouble with it afterwards, but that resolved itself after 6 months or so.

TheDonald · 23/02/2018 21:54

I had it from week 37 to 41. It disappeared as my waters broke and I could walk around again for the final 24 hours. No problems at all post birth.

Good luck OP. It's miserable. Flowers

Pollaidh · 23/02/2018 21:54

Maybe. Mine has improved but not gone away, but I have a lot of other joint issues which make it worse.

Have you tried sleeping with pillows between your knees? I still have to do that.

Frusso · 23/02/2018 21:56

Yes, but not straight after.

Twocatsonebaby · 23/02/2018 21:56

Roomba yes! It's awful especially for sleep :( it worries me just as much as my mom suffers and my granddad suffered so much he needed an epidural in the end but I don't know much about the condition. Just really hope it goes within the next 5 weeks
