LMP and scan date difference

Hi
My EDD from my 12 week scan is 17th May whereas the date from my LMP is 27th May; so the scan has dated me 10 days earlier.
My cycles have always been 27 days and I have ovulation symptoms of night sweats and ovulation pain every month mid cycle, the month we conceived was no different so I am fairly sure I didn't ovulate early.
As there was a difference greater than 7 days my midwife has used the scan date as my EDD.
I am concerned that I will end up being induced because it will look like our baby is later than he/she actually is.
Has anyone else had a difference in dates greater than a week? When did your baby actually arrive?

Thanks

You can always decline an induction

Same has happened to me. My lmp due date is 28th May but they've changed my due date to 22nd May at my 12 week scan. Only a six day difference but they've still changed my dates.
I know when I ovulated at the beginning of September so certain of my lmp due date.

I have three children and two of them were 9lb plus babies. I'm guessing I'm just carrying a larger baby again, which is why baby measured further ahead at my 12 week scan.

My husband is 6'6 so there's a chance our baby could be measuring long

Babies grow at the same rate for the first 3 months so you can't have a big baby at the 12 week scan. Ultrasounds can be a bit off of course but the 12 week one is the most accurate one.
I wouldn't worry too much about such a small difference tbh. I've never tracked my cycle but I imagine it's possible to be out by a day or so, and embryos can implant late etc so you can't ever really know the exact conception time.
