20 week anomaly help!!

So went to my anomaly scan on Wednesday at 20+3 they said all was normal and said we are having a boy 😍
But when I looked at measurements in my file (knew I shouldn't of done this!) it says next to them 19+3! Does that mean he is measuring a week behind?! I'm confused should they have told me that?!
This is my first baba and I'm currently an unmedicated borderline personality suffer, don't want to worry OH if nothing to worry about.
Thanks in advance xxx

I'm sure if they had any worries about the size of the baby they would tell you and get you in for another scan. At 20 weeks it isn't as accurate as the 12 week scan dating scan. I honestly wouldn't worry. Later on in pregnancy they measure regularly and if they are worried they would send you for a growth scan, but at this point I wouldn't worry. X

I wouldn't worry they would have said something if there was anything wrong and if they were concerned about his growth they'd have arranged further scans or follow up. You could always discuss it with your mw at your next antenatal appointment but the sonographers are the experts, they're very thorough and they would have said if there were any concerns.
And don't feel bad about looking at the measurements in your notes, he's your baby! Just be aware you probs don't understand them all and trust the health professionals.
Congratulations on your little boy!!

Given that no date is 100% correct and they give two weeks either side then it’s nothing to worry about, if they were worried they’d mention it but growth falls into the two week window that they allow. Don’t worry too much over it but if it’s still on your mind, next time you see our mw obviously you’ll have your red book, just mention it to her and she’ll help explain and put you’re mond at ease :) congratulations!!

Ahh thanks girls just what I needed.
I didn't want to look at measurements because I knew no matter what I would worry about something! They didn't say anything was wrong or need further tests or need investigations her words were "obviously I can only go by what I've seen but everything seems normal and nothing to worry about" suppose they have to protect themselves like that?
I might ring midwife as like I say don't want OH to know if no need to worry, so may phone her on Monday.
Thanks again I'm very new to this haha xxx

It normally says somewhere in text "measurements are conducive with dating scan/gestational age", something like that to indicate they're not precisely the same date as 12 week scan, but close enough.

Also all the individual measurements should have a percentile and if it's between 5-95% they're usually happy.

Katyx3 · 23/02/2018 19:02

Thanks Claire, it literally says nothing!
It says the measurements (ac fl and the other one haha) says next to femur 30mm (which I know is average) and next to the other two the numbers then "gestation 19 weeks 3 days" on them both
Then underneath says something like "measurements conducted all over the 5th percentile.
I really don't want to look at it again how bad is that! Having no meds is making me crazy(er) lol xxx
