Hi everyone.

I'm 21 and just over five weeks pregnant with my first child. This was very much unplanned (contraceptive failure) but now we've had time to process it my fiancé and I are delighted!

I just cannot shake the feeling that something has gone wrong/will go wrong! I'm a naturally anxious person anyway and it seems to have magnified a thousand fold since I found out I was pregnant.

For example, even though I had pretty bad nausea for a few days after discovering I was pregnant, for the last couple of days the nausea has reduced significantly. I'm worried that this means the pregnancy isn't progressing as it should Sad

I'm also terrified that this is signifying that I'm about to have a miscarriage, even though I'm not in any pain, nor am I bleeding.

I'm just worrying so much! Like I said, this was very much unplanned but now I've had time to process it, I'm becoming quite attached to this little bean Grin

Someone please shake me! Grin

I was the same all I did was worry. I bled every month for first 3 when would have been my period and all i did was be sick all day every day. I think the first 12 weeks until you have your scan are such a worry. Hope everything goes ok for you xx

Hi Hun
I was the same (at 20 weeks still not much better!) I was sick constantly!! For first 15 weeks, on occasions when I was only sick once a day I panicked! My mum would say "panic when your sick panic when your not" lol now I'm not sick at all I still have some worries, can't feel movement so I worry, work a lot so worry, stress a lot so worry! But stress is no good for baby! Be thankful when you feel fine, and go by what I tell myself "if there's bad cramping and a lot of blood" then worry x

Firstly congratulations! If I am honest I don't think you will ever shake the feeling of being worried. The only advice I can give is just to take it one day at a time. Nausea comes and goes throughout pregnancy so don't think of it being a bad thing if your not getting any. But I do truly understand how you feel, I have suffered 3 previous mc's and I am currently 29+3 and even this far on I have a lot of worries. My partner has been very worried and sometimes a bit negative but I always thought positive and it has seemed to of helped. Once you see your little bean at 12 weeks it will give you so much reassurance that baby is fine.

Xx

Thank you so much ladies! I suppose you're right, you never stop worrying. Especially after they've been born! Grin I'll be the first to admit I'm a little bit of a hypochondriac, so any twinge or pain and I'm panicking!
