Has anyone had to take aspirin whilst pregnant?

At my dating scan last week, the HCA said I need to be taking 75mg aspirin due to my bmi. She didn't explain anything other than that, and as it was whilst she was doing my blood and I felt a bit faint, I didn't question it any further.

I'll be asking my midwife about it when I see her in 3 weeks, but I just wondered if anyone else has had to take it? They've given me the tablets you dissolve in water but as my sickness is so bad still I can't physically drink it!

I took it too. It was standard at my ivf clinic. I just got the tablets to swallow from Boots.

I had preeclampsia with my first, right at the end (started having symptoms on my due date). Currently pregnant with my second and am on 75mg aspirin - the consultant was supposed to prescribe it for me but he didn't, so my midwife told me to get some from the chemist (in Sainsburys). She gave me the option of soluble or tablets, which is good because I can't bear the taste of the soluble ones.

hey, it has been seen that many doctors suggest taking low dose of aspirin just because of to reduce the risk of miscarriage. It facilitates you if you have a Hughes syndrome outweigh of any potential harm. When doctors realized that you are developing pre-eclampsia. Then they refer you to take aspirin. It considers highly unlikely to take aspirin regularly unless and until your doctors won’t prescribe you. The even low dose of aspirin in pregnancy may harm you and your baby health. So if the doctor doesn’t say to take then you should avoid it. the prescribed dose of aspirin helps to prevent and break the blood clots from forming. High dose of aspirin may cause the risk of premature closure of vessels in the fetus’ heart. Low dose aspirin includes 60-100 milligrams daily. I give much information related to this. Next decision is yours. If your doctor is saying, then you should do like that. If you feel that she/he is not sincere with you then you may have a check-up from someone else. Just to your satisfaction, you may have. Hope for the best and prepare yourself for the worst.
