Does anyone have any tips? I'm only 4 +3 and I'm struggling to function at work. I'm completely exhausted and just queasy at the moment thankfully. How do you get through it? Does anything help?

I’m 9 weeks today. I was exhausted like you for a few weeks but suddenly now I feel ok! I’m tired yes but nothing like I was.

Gingerbread
Mint
Never have an empty stomach
Sleeping at lunchtime/when you get home

SLEEP. Have early nights it will help.
Don't try and do too much during the day.
Ginger biscuits and mints also plain crackers I found helped with morning sickness. And yes don't let yourself get over hungry.
I am just coming out the other side. Good luck. Hope you don't suffer too much.

Did anyone find gentle exercise helped? Im debating whether some yoga might make me feel better. I'd love to sleep at lunchtimes! Sadly there is nowhere I can nap discreetly. Ginger tea is helping a lot.

I just did everything I could to make myself comfy at work in the first trimester. I took cushions for my chair and made sure I had plenty of snacks - nuts and bananas are great! And I massively upped my water intake, and would sometimes walk around the building or pop outside for some fresh air to wake myself up. I also spoke to my boss and a few colleagues about tiredness so I felt less pressure to perform as normal when I was really struggling.

I do yoga and it's fantastic! But my instructor wouldn't let me start the class until I was past 12 weeks due to risks to the baby in the early stages.

Don't do yoga yet but a gentle walk in the fresh air may well help.

Get organised! Have everything ready for the morning, your clothes, food, shower before you go to bed because an extra half hour in the morning is wonderful.

Keep snacks by your bed, just some crackers or go ahead cereal bars work well. Some people find this helps with sickness (didn't work for me) but was great as a snack if you get hungry at night.

Nap when you get in from work. Obviously try to keep healthy but let dinner slide for a couple of weeks. Things like grilled chicken salad that don't take long to prepare are great. If you want junk food then have it.

Remember that a huge chunk of development is done in the first trimester. Keep mentally reminding yourself of that, you have a person to grow. Look after yourself.

Also, people told me that once I hit the 2nd trimester I would feel amazing but for me that didn't hit until about 5 months. Don't feel too bad about yourself of it takes longer than 12 weeks.

Sleep really, really helped. Get early nights as often as possible. I lived on Rich Tea biscuits, ready salted crisps and marmalade on toast for about 5 weeks too.

The first trimester drags like nothing else, but it will pass and you will feel better.

I'm 7+3 and have been up and down so far. Lots of time outdoors gentle walking seems to have helped. Never getting hungry (makes me feel very sick!). Lots of sleep... naps in evening if I feel I need it. Early nights. I've only been nauseaous rather than sick and I've thankfully found that keeping busy focusing on something else helps...
