Just looking to see if anyone had had similar really and what the outcome was.
At 27 weeks a routine check shower high BP and Protein in Urine. I was sent to Maternity where baby was monitored, had bloods taken and urine was then clear. I was told to be monitored weekly for BP and urine. All fine at 28 week checks.

At my 29 check on Monday high BP and Protein found again so i was sent to hospital and spent 8 hours in there being monitored for fluctuating BP. I had bloods taken and had NST for baby. I was put on BP medication to lower it and told i would be coming in every other day for BP monitoring now, starting the following day. On Tuesday I went in to hospital as requested for BP check and all okay. Wednesday, they had booked me in for emergency scan to check on Baby (all going well and no issues there). Yesterday I was back in for BP check and it was sky high again. I thought I'd only be in there half hour so hadnt brought anything with me. They wouldn't even let me pop down to my car to get my charger. They wanted to keep me there until it stabilised! They monitored baby again and doctor reviewed medication and after 6 hours I was allowed home. I have to go back on Saturday to start a full round of tests again so can expect to be in all day. I don't think my bloods are showing pre-eclampsia but obviously if they can't get my BP under control with medication, anyone know what's likely to happen? I'm worried about being admitted, don't even know if that's a possibility or whether I'm worrying over nothing. I have a consultant appointment now on Monday. I just seem to be atbthr hospital every day and I still have 10 weeks left! Any experienced welcome please, I just don't know what's going on x

No advice unfortunately but sounds very stressful. Can you ask for some answers from them and explain that you're feeling anxious, aren't sure what's happening and, in the nicest possible way, demand to know what they are planning for you? Flowers

Every time I ask I seem to just get the reply 'we're just waiting to see'. They've told me that it's a sign for pre-eclampsia but don't seem to want to diagnose that. I asked yesterday if I still had protein in urine and was told they would go and check but then the next person to come along was someone different telling me I could finally go home and I forgot to ask again (while I ran out the door!! Ha ha). I know I should find out more from the consultant on Monday, I've asked my Husband to take time off to join me for that so I can take in as much info as possible. Just seems ages to wait when worried. Also paranoid about Saturday's tests! I'll make sure I have an overnight bag packed!

I really hope everything goes well. I know it's so frustrating and scary not to know what's happening but with pre eclampsia they really wont be able to tell you a plan - it's a case of very frequent monitoring and making a decision based on your symptoms.

I did develop pre eclampsia in my first pregnancy at 34 weeks, but my bp was uncontrollable and I had other symptoms. My friend developed it at around 28 weeks and had frequent checks and medication and reached 37 weeks. We were both fine! And had healthy babies. It can be very unsettling so keep asking questions of doctors and midwives. I hope you're ok.
