Flying at 24 weeks

Will it be ok to have a short 2 hours flight at 24 weeks? Wil I need any documents to do with the pregnancy to show the airline? Thanks :)

Yes, you'll be fine. Most airlines don't need any fit to fly letters until 28 weeks.

I flew to Spain at 24 weeks. No problems but bad turbulence on way back and plane seemed to drop, literally felt like baby spun around inside me, wasn't a nice feeling, but all was OK!

Ooh, I'm flying in 2 weeks at 25 weeks so following. I'll take my notes with me just in case I'm asked and I'll have my MATB1 by then too so will make sure I have that. I know you don't need documents until later but on the off chance they ask, think it's worth having them

I flew 4 and half hours at 24 weeks, I just took my handheld notes in my hand luggage although was never asked for them :)

No problem whatsoever.

I flew at 36 weeks and the airline didn't even notice. It was Ryanair though.

I’m currenlty away at 28 weeks, no one gave a care in the world that I was pregnant when I got on the plane.

I’ve got two flights at 30 and 33 weeks - midwife has said to wear compression stockings and walk around as much as poss. Fit to fly note is only needed from around 28weeks (check your airline’s website). If in the EU remember to take your EHIC card, or order one.

I don't think you need a fit to fly note till 35 weeks with most airlines. You'll be fine

I wore the flight socks also, but had to take them off mid journey as I'm sure partner bought me wrong size and started to lose feeling in my toes midflight 😂. Just kept getting up and walking up and down and I was fine

I did a 9 hour flight last week at 22 weeks (with a giant toddler on my lap) On the return flight I was stopped at the door by a cabin crew member who asked how many weeks I was, but when I said just 22 she waved me through.

My OB just advised me to wear compression stockings, take a baby aspirin before take off, drink a lot of water and move around a lot.

To be honest, it was fine. I flew last time at 32 weeks and that was pretty unpleasant, purely because I felt so cramped in the seat.
