Hey everyone!

I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, first pregnancy and baby due 22nd February.

Even though I have attended every class available to prepare for labour I still feel totally unprepared and no idea what im doing! I know everyones experience will be different and some people have pain/ show/ waters breaking in different orders or dont get all 3.

Last night I started getting pain under my bump on the right side.I had a total OMG IS THIS IT moment but even though it carried on for a few hours on/off there was nothing overnight or today so im thinking it was probably the baby dropping again ( plus everyone says when it happens you will know! since i didnt know i assumed it wasnt haha)

Just wondering what everyone elses past experience was and how they knew Smile

I'd had weeks of BH. Baby still high and cervix didn't seem "there" at a sweep.

Went for acupressure induction the same afternoon (having been told to expect chemical induction the following week, if not sooner)

3 hours after acupressure, started to feel contractions, lost my plug, had a hour of diarrhoea, and felt like I needed to pace.

DS arrived about 12 hours later after a lovely, calm labour and delivery. Waters only went just before he crowned 😬

Contractions every 2 minutes, after about 5 contractions my body decided to dump all bodily fluids for the next 1/2 hour all the while contracting. First contraction to fully dilated in 3 hours.

Well i thought it was all over last night Blush

Woke up with severe pain in the left side of my lower back which radiated round to my left abdomen. vomitting, crying all the drama including me shouting " this is it! " pain was lasting between 10 to 15 mins at a time so thought that was a bit odd as i expected early contractions to only last a few seconds. eventually pain dulled and i got some sleep. Phoned midwifes this morning to ask what they thought it was. They said it doesnt sound like actual labour but sounds like my body is doing everything to prepare for it and could happen soon! (baby shower is suppose to be this weekend so we will see if I can actually attend haha)

So now im in the house by myself scared to sneeze!

Newnaime thats a good idea about keys!
