I can’t shake off the feeling that something is wrong

Ok I’m prepared for people to think this sounds ridiculous. I’m around 5.5-6 weeks pregnant at the moment and feeling some nausea but I feel so sure something is not right. In a previous pregnancy that had no symptoms and ended in miscarriage I had the same conviction that something was wrong. In my last pregnancy I was worried but felt it was generally ok. I’m really worried that my instincts are right and this will end in another missed miscarriage. I know there’s nothing I can do and I’m not sure what I want from posting here. Maybe just to know if anyone else has been in a similar position.

Day one of the pregnancy is the first day after your period finished. So for example if you finished bleeding on the 1st Jan, the 2nd jan is counted as the first day of your pregnancy.

No it isn’t. Day 1 is counted as the first day of your period STARTING not finishing.

If your last period started on the 1st January that’s when you count from which technically means you’re 5 weeks and 4 days today. When you have your scan you’ll be 7 weeks which is perfect as anything earlier than 6 weeks and it’s too early to see much on the scan or see a fetal heart beat.

Congratulations! I was just reading and noticed we are currently exact same dates ! My LMP first day was 1st jan
I don’t have PCOS however I have been through a miscarriage Nov last year. My anxiety is through the roof and now I’m worrying as you said your clear blue said 1-2weeks? I took mine Thursday and mine said 3+
Anybody have any ideas why this may be? Worried now I have something going wrong
I’ve felt so much better this time around aswell, with last pregnancy I was have such heightened symptoms that they thought MC occurred due to hormone imbalance as id only just come off the pill..
I’m having an early scan in two weeks time due to previous MC so praying to see a better one than we did in Nov. X

I’ve had three miscarriages but four pregnancies, after my first miscarriage I was convinced my next pregnancy was gonna result in a miscarriage but it didn’t! I got my rainbow son, I had to stay away from forums as I was driving myself crazy. My 2 pregnancies after that were both miscarriages (one Blighted Ovum and one spontaneous).
I think once you’ve had one and you know it’s a possibility you’ll always think the worst, I personally don’t believe there’s an actual ‘gut feeling’ it’s just natural to immediately jump to the worst possible situation.

My EPU won’t scan without bleeding either, which is hard as 1 of my losses I didn’t find out til my 12 week scan, so first trimester is hell. I really feel for you, I wish there was more support available.

Try to relax, what will be will be so at least for now enjoy being pregnant.

In my second pregnancy my early symptoms disappeared around week 6. Came back a bit later. Pregnancy was textbook. Are you in/near London? I had early scans (around the stage you are now) at the truly excellent Fetal Medicine Centre. They will help you for sure.

Hope18 that's so crazy we have the same dates! But very strange our tests are saying something different but I believed I ovulated later on on the 26th jan as I have pcos I never know when I'm going to ovulate as my periods are usually very irregular every 3 months so I imagine this is why our test readings are very different?..

It's so worrying isn't it I feel my Symptoms are slowly disappearing with the odd occasional one coming back here and there. I have a back ach nothing major but can feel it feeling abit sore and from what I've read it all points to miscarriage :(
I need to stop worrying as do us all I think buts it's only natural if your already gone through a miscarriage as you know it's a possibility again.
I have an early scan booked in with my fertility clinic on the 19th Feb so I should be around 7 weeks then?
I am hoping everything is ok I am so so worried.

Let us know hope18 how you get on try not to panic and I think coz of when I ovulated later that's why are readings are different xx

Is ( or has been since MC ) shorter than average it’s been around 21 days..!
Tbh my symptoms come and go too Hun, some days my boobs are raging sore and I feel queezy and exhausted and others ( like today) apart from being an emotional wreck I feel like my boobs don’t hurt as much etc? All very strange!
I’m sure everything will be fine for you, the way I’m trying to view it is every pregnancy is different and I have to get to this stage to know if it will continue or not and we have as much chance as anybody else ☺️💖

@Hope18 yeah I reckon that's what it is then honestly I wouldn't worry as I guess atleast it's saying pregnant 3-4 weeks :) but I am putting it down to where I ovulated later.

Ah that's good to know that your symptoms are coming & going too Hun! Makes me feel abit better :) I am just super worried and any little thing I google which is probably not the best to do! Also I think where we are still in the early weeks we've got a lot more symptoms to come
I have a little back ach and on google it says about miscarriage on our site and then another says it's your muscles stretching etc etc .. google drives me mental lol

I hope there isn’t really a gut feeling and that everything’s fine. It is very interesting to read all your responses and to know that plenty of other people feel similarly and things have turned out ok.

My last MC before I even knew as it was a missed miscarriage I had a gut feeling when we went for our scan I kept saying to my other half something is wrong nothing will be there and I was right

This time i haven't got a gut feeling st all and I'm a big believer in trusting your gut.

I think it's in my head half the time but I guess it's normal for us to worry.

I am feeling sooooo tired I could fall asleep now lol. I think where I've caught my pregnancy so early this time round I am feeling a lot happier about it. Where as last time I didn't even know I was preg till 10 weeks but I had lost the baby at 6 weeks

I'm I had a gut feeling throughout, I was convinced I'd get bad news at the 14 week scan. 6 month old healthy DS sitting next to me.

I use pessimism as a coping strategy to avoid getting my hopes up. It's a horrible time before you can feel the baby as you just don't know. My advice, manage your feelings, keep acting as though you're pregnant (folic acid, alcohol, foods etc) until told otherwise. Remember although miscarriages and missed miscarriages are sadly a high rate before the 12 week scan, most pregnancies are absolutely fine

I think your right just coz I had a mmc before this is a new pregnancy and each one is different. I am hoping everything will be okay

I have a water infection so now on antibiotics for that which I was worried about taking but the doctor has told me it's perfectly safe to take with my metformin and with my pregnancy x

Did you manage to book in the 12 month scan after your scan ?..

I have my early scan tmo in abit nervous about it tbh.

Have you had any symptoms like being sick etc etc. Mine come and go like yday i felt so so sick then I was sick and had a few little pains in my stomach but they went as quickly as they came on I kind of felt like I was bloated or had indigestion I'm just worrying about tmo I guess :/

I'm not to sure how far go I am I did a clear blue this Thursday just gone and it jumped up to 2-3 and my tests have been getting darker by the weeks / days! Which is good I gueSS :/ were see tmo!

@Alicejj8x not yet Hun, I’m waiting to make my first midwife booking appointment. Midwife is due to ring me this week 🙂 I think we will book it in then.
My symptoms this past week or so have been so up and down so I was really nervous about our scan. When I got there and saw the heartbeat the lady said you can’t judge your pregnancy on how strong your symptoms are as everybody is different and even if your having the strongest symptoms everyday it doesn’t mean everything is ok.. it’s reassured me not to concentrate too much on feeling my boobs every 5 mins and monitoring sickness!
I have felt queezy but haven’t been sick and boobs come and go! I’m trying to relax a little more, although still in the back of my mind I’m always worrying 🙊
If you had 2-3 I’d say your around 4-5 Hun? Try not to worry too much about tomorrow, relax and everyday with no bleeding is a good day.. what time is your scan? 🙂 keep me updated, I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine!

Like you and constantly check my boobs lol or google which is probably the worst thing to do lol!! Yeh I've heard ladies who get every symptom doesn't necessarily mean everything is okay with their pregnancy so I guess everyone is diff and we need to remind ourself of that :) that's good the lady said that thou to put your mind at rest and I think it helps me too :)

Yeh I've heard that 2-3 means about 4-5 weeks too i guess it's a good sign it went up but I think after tmo I'll feel abit better about it all if everything is okay that is :/.. apparently my lining has thickened as I went for a private scan last Tuesday as my friend works in a private place so she said for me to come in as they were very quiet and she said my lining was thick and there was a little blob on the screen but they did say it was very early to tel if it was a sac but they said where I've got thick lining & positive tests that's a good thing as otherwise it could meant my body was getting ready to have a period with the lining being so thick but I doubt a period is on the cards lol! So maybe tmo I will see a lot more I should of held off but where she was like come on come in kind of thing I just went and didn't have to pay which also tempted me in even more so ah!!

Yeah I've had no bleeding at all but then I worry I haven't even had implantation bleeding but not everyone gets this do they?
My scan is at 9am I am just hoping they can confirm pregnancy and obv won't see a heart beat as prob too early but just want to know everything looks as it should :/
Yeah I've been taking folic acid for months and months with vitamin D in aswell and also my metformin for my Pcos as they said to keep taking to 12 weeks as it helps reduce miscarriage so hopefully that's helped xxx

I have this awful feeling as well, have another early scan on Tuesday as previous scna she couldn't see a heartbeat as said I was to early and baby was to small, just praying everything s ok but can't shake the feeling that it's all gone wrong

@Alicejj8x I'm 7+2 now was 6+4 on scan she said baby was measuring on dates for my cycle rather than the standard 28days and foetol pole was 6.9mm so they like to give baby the benefit of the doubt until they are over 7mm as the heart is so tiny, she really struggled finding baby first as I have a tilted womb so had to have internal so just praying it's all ok but just can't shake the feeling of dread

Wow how lucky for you to have had that early scan! I would have taken that opportunity too so can’t blame you! Sounds like it’s all a good sign with your lining thickening etc! Defo got a good feeling for you..! Not everyone has implantation, my best friend is 35w and she had no sickness or implantation and her little boy doesn’t stop kicking haha !
I’ve just started vitamin D and been taking folic acid for a few months too. Still get the odd twinge cramping feeling too but they said a lot of that will just be stretching and pulling as things change.
Can’t wait to hear how you get on tomorrow will be thinking of you!

I guess your right. But is it ok to one day feel like pregnant and then the next not lol. I keep worrying that I'm actually not pregnant. But surly 10 ( I know I'm abit crazy) preg tests and clear blue digi won't and can't all be wrong??
I know I thought I would take the chance but didnt expect to see much but they did give me a little scan so I can take along tmo and see any difference. I'll attach it on. The white line going through she said was a good sign so hopefully it's all okay :/!! Thank you I so so hope tmo we get the all ok that everything is progressing properly.

@Alicejj8x 😂 my user name is true, my poor husband got the brunt of raging hormones this morning think he was glad when I said I was going out to get rabbit food, currently sat in the car with a decaf caramel latte trying to relax. It'll be Tuesday soon enough and then I can stop worrying so much hopefully.

Hello everyone

So I had my early scan today
And I always knew I ovulated late anyway but they said everything looks in the right place but where I'm early ( had to have an internal scan too) they couldn't say for sure if it's a definate pregnancy which is worrying me

She told me she thinks I'm about 4 weeks possibly just turnt 4 weeks and said that's possibly why. There is defo a blob on the screen she said it's where it's meant to be and that everything around it looks good and no signs of concern but where they couldn't see the gestational sac yet they didn't like to say it's defo preg. Has anyone else had this or ? I'm so so worried
