Anything you can take for a sore throat?

My throat is killing, anything you can take for it whilst pregnant?

I went to the doctor as my throat was so sore! I was told to have paracetamol and ibuprofen, gargle with salt water and suck sugary sweets.

Ibuprofen is not safe in pregnancy. No NSAIDs are

I go for the alcohol, but as you're pregnant, maybe just gargle.

Was just following my GPs advice! Nothing on my ibuprofen box about not taking it, just to consult a pharmacist/doctor. Only my rapid action ibuprofen says not to take it but that's a lot stronger

Just spoke to a GP friend too who said the same. She said they only say not to take it over 30 weeks. Otherwise consult a GP
