Hi anyone else reaching the end of there pregnancy and are more than ready to meet their baby?
I was 38 weeks yesterday and just keep thinking is every little twinge the start of something!
It's my second baby, I was induced with my first so hoping to natural this time round.
Midwife said baby's head is right down so I'm hoping it won't be long now.

39 + 1 today; due Feb 13th but keep trying to tell myself I'm not due til 23rd cos I'm driving myself mad stuck at home. Been sick throughout the entire pregnancy; it's been worse the last few weeks so pretty much house bound since finishing up work. I'm exhausted constantly but can't sleep more than 1.5 hours at a time. Good strong movements and kicks all through the night; really can't wait to get this wee one out so I can rest!! First baby so kinda terrified but very excited too. No sign of labour to start so midwife will do a sweep at 40 weeks if nothing happening. Baby is 2/5 engaged head down thankfully but still managing to kick me in the ribs!

Any babies yet? How are people getting on.
I hit 39 weeks tomorrow and people are starting to annoy me. Mostly my mother. And anyone who dares to try and guess gender/date/weight or presume that I must be fed up by now. Which obviously I am, but grrrrrrrr.
I’ve been pretty even keeled most of this pregnancy but think the emotional side has hit with a vengeance now. Feel slightly better for a rant.

Im 37 weeks and feeling exactly the same. Hoovered the house yesterday, today its a mess again (only me and dp living here) so that's just sent me into emotional breakdown, literally just want to scream at any tiny bit of mess I see. Dps being a pain in the arse asking if there's anything else I want doing (because all the household chores are MINE and he's doing me a favour Hmm) and all i want to do is scrub the house top to bottom but i dont have the energy. This baby better come soon im not usually this miserable haha

I no how you feel, I have a 18 month old and feel like I spend my life cleaning! I'm now 38 and 5 days hoping this baby comes soon, I went to the midwife yesterday and she said try bouncing on a gym ball, I don't no if it will work but I've been bouncing my day away, and yes my other half is like that, and I just say to him you can see things need doing so just do them I shouldn't have to ask. Men ay they don't think

Baby here! The pessary did it's work, I thought I would have to have 2 like the other women on the ward but 12 hours after the pessary I regular back contractions and a trickle of waters followed by a cervix check and a gush of waters! This was around midnight.

Off to delivery at 1 ish where immediately demanded epidural, had to wait for it for a hour, lots of swearing and screaming! Once it was in things were great. Just had increase in pressure and had gone to 7cm by 8.45. Was going to be checked again in 4 hours but they did it earlier and thank goodness, half hour later she was born. They did have to cut and forceps because she tried to take the cord out with her over her shoulder. Not ideal but when you're in the moment and that's the best way you just go for it! Very glad of the epidural then!

Don't know if any of what I did helped to speed things up once the pessary started perhaps or maybe it did bugger all!

I didn’t have anything at all, hit 38 weeks and went into full blown labour. Possibly in slow labour as I was 9cm dilated an hour after my waters went.
