What books would you recommend reading? This is my first pregnancy and I'd like to take some time for reading about the next stages, as well as parenting, whilst I have some free time and currently not sharing our news with the world! Any recommendations greatly received!

Good for guys too.

I've been reading Happy Mum, Happy Baby by Giovanna Fletcher and I love it! She talks about everything in such a real way.
Nothing is glamourised and it's so relatable xx

YY Expecting Better. Really sensible and evidence-based. I don't think we'd get anywhere near as many 'can I eat...?' or 'is it dangerous to...?' posts if more people read it.

I was given the Unmumsy Mum books as christmas presents. They're fun and honest and a realistic insight into being a mum.

Not gina ford. Because as a mum of 4, i can tell you parenthood doesnt go by the book, things dont always suit your life and your baby and you have to adapt to what works for you and your baby, not what ‘the contented little baby book’ says. Whatever you read, take it with a pinch of salt and be open-minded with your expectations as one size doesnt fit all. With my first dc i got myself so wound up because things werent as how id read no matter how hard i tried to follow the advice. You’ll get to know your baby and his/her individual needs and personality.
Saying that, the unmumsy mum is a good read, shes realistic and funny xx
