Hello

Was just about to buy the perfect prep machine and have seen they have the new one coming out but is double the price... I can’t see any obvious differences other than lights and volume... is anyone going to wait for the new one?

I think I'm going to get the new one as I like the different colours I want the gray to match my kitchen xx

I had 2 perfect prep macchines (one in the kitchen and 1 in babies room early on - saved going downstairs in the middle of the night). The features they have improved - volume of beeping to say bottle is ready and alerts for changing filter - wouldn’t warrant spending double on.

The existing machine is brilliant tho so sure the new one would be too. Cost wise I’d go for the older one though.

The only pro I can see for the new one is that you can turn the volume down. The older one has a really loud beep that at 3am is pretty annoying. That said, dh just opened the back and cut the wire, so ours is entirely silent...job done.

@december212 I suppose that's a good idea to have two prep machines can have one upstairs and down for the price of the new one xx

Only used the one in the babies room for 8 weeks or so then passed it onto our friends who were having a baby. Meant I could start making the bottle and by the time I’d changed the babies nappy, her bottle was ready and right next to us Smile

The new one seems a bit Emperors New Clothes- aside from the digital display, it's quiet and.... That's it. I don't bring baby downstairs for night feeds so I'm don't mind the beeping, and I actually really like the simplicity of the older controls- they're straightforward and self explanatory.

I'd suggest getting the older machine and using the savings to get the matching Tommee Tippee electric steriliser- five bottles in five minutes with a tiny bit of water! Saves faffing about with Milton or a microwave steriliser.
