32 wks can't sleep due to blocked nose

I'm absolutely knackered due to side effects of a constantly blocked nose. So I go to sleep breathing through my mouth, which means I keep waking up with my mouth and throat feeling like sandpaper and my lips cracking and bleeding. I keep drinking in the middle of the night to give some relief but then need the loo even more often!
It's like I'm stuck in a vicious circle and cannot get out of it! I'm exhausted!
I've tried a humidifier for one night but seemed to help little, maybe I need to put it closer to my bed.
Any tips much appreciated!

Have you tried a salt water nasal spray? That's what I used when I was pregnant - my nose was constantly blocked too!

Humidifier with a few drops of olbas oil in the water, keep a chapstick on the bedside table, and something like fruit pastilles that will get your saliva flowing a bit.

Nice steamy shower before bed too (or even just run the shower hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam).

Sympathies, it's horrible enough when you haven't got someone kicking you in the bladder and giving you heartburn Flowers

I'm the same but now 40wks. I use olbus oil on a tissue next 2 the bed to breathe and vaseline on my lips. Good luck.

I’ve been suffering with a horrendously blocked nose too. I swear by Otrivine nasal spray. It’s the ONLY thing that clears my nose. I asked my chemist as well and he said it’s safe to use in pregnancy.

Just coming out of this. A steamy shower (sitting down on a plastic chair or the floor in case it makes you dizzy). And steaming with a bowl and some vicks / eucalyptus helped.

Thanks everyone! At least I feel I'm not the only one! I'll try some of those suggestions.

Definitely saline spray, olbas oil on a tissue and Vicks rubbed into your neck/chest has been helping me! Hope you feel better soon.
