Hi everyone, sorry I've posted loads here recently - I'm a mess! So I found out I was pregnant on the 23rd of January and I couldn't have been happier :) I had my LMP on the 24th of December, and I think I ovulated around the 8th of January. I thought AF was coming on the 19th as I had some brown/pink spotting once when I wiped, but after that I had nothing. Once I found out I chalked it up to implantation bleeding - althoug I guess that would make it around 11dpo (bit late?). But anyway, I've been kind of winding myself up with ClearBlue Digital tests to be honest since then. I haven't gone on to '2-3 weeks' yet, I've only been on 1-2 weeks :( I haven't tested for a few days though as I'm so scared!

2 days ago I started having very light pink spotting. It then turned into a browny mucus, but it was only ever when I wiped really and was never enough for a pad. I did once have a very small red bit of blood, but that was it. It all started after straining for a bowel movement to be honest, and I noticed it'd usually come against when I next had one (I'm having lots of BM's in this pregnancy!), so I did wonder whether it was me straining. Yesterday I had no spotting at all until the evening when I had a tiny about of pink mucus again. This morning I've again had nothing which I'm hoping is good!

The reason I'm scared is because back in August, I had an ectopic pregnancy which presented with lots of spotting/bleeding, and was treated with MTX. I can't remember much about what the spotting was like but I know it never stopped, it was pretty much all day every day, and it was a mostly reddy brown. With that as well my hCG wasn't quite doubling in the timeframe expected too. So I'm terrified that I might be having another ectopic, given I was still getting 1-2 weeks on the ClearBlue :(

Do you think it's a good sign that spotting has stopped? I'm having no pain but tbh I didn't have any in my ectopic either. I'm also concerned about the pregnancy tests too, but then seeing as I implanted late I wonder if that's having any effect on it? I've even heard that ectopics tend to implant earlier and don't give implantation bleeding, but I don't want to get my hopes up :( I'm due for a scan on Wednesday, I've tried going to the EPU to get seen earlier but because the spotting is so minor and has stopped they're not concerned.

Well I know why it’s not visible now - I phoned the hospital for my blood result and my hCG is only 147 😟 I’m just so confused!

@Chris1989 I'm so sorry to hear this. How are you feeling? :-(

Chris1989 · 08/02/2018 17:36

Thanks @trippingoverrainbows, this morning I started having very heavy bleeding with clots and cramping so I was really upset as it was quite obviously a miscarriage 😟 I come to terms with it quite quickly but then at the hospital the doctor said my cervix is closed and during a miscarriage it’s open! So I’m still having my bloods done tomorrow, but there’s still the faintest chance all could be ok but I think it’s more likely I miscarried really quickly

@Chris1989 how are you feeling today? Do you have people around you to provide support? Thanks

GeorginaFall · 09/02/2018 19:34

What happened with your HCG test? I hope everything is alright OP

Chris1989 · 09/02/2018 22:39

Thanks both, woke up this morning to some huge painful clots and more blood loss so I knew it was over to be honest 😟 My blood confirmed this as it’s dropped to 66. Absolutely soul destroying but these things happen 😟 not sure whether to try again straight away or wait, after 2 failed pregnancies I’m going to be so nervous next time

All the best @trippingoverrainbows , hows your spotting now? While mine ended bad the doctors assured me spotting can be completely normal!

@Chris1989 I'm so sorry this has happened to you again :-( You should just start trying as soon as you and your body feels ready, you will be nervous that's only natural. My spotting has stopped and having a drama getting EPU to play ball for an early scan. GP is having to step in and chase. My issue is I have no real clue how many weeks I am so going to wait until a week tomorrow to get a private scan (if I haven't heard from EPU by then)

Chris1989 · 12/02/2018 17:56

@trippingoverrainbows Yep I'll be using some OPK's over the next week or so and we'll start trying :) really hope your pregnancy goes well, it sounds good to me!

@Chris1989 I'll be keeping everything crossed for you with the OPK's. I have an early scan tomorrow so will know more then x

Chris1989 · 21/03/2018 14:06

@trippingoverrainbows how are you doing now? Really hope all has gone well for you!

My miscarriage happened very quickly and my hCG went to non-pregnant levels quickly too, so I made the decision to jump straight back into TTC because it took us 4 months last time! A week ago today I did a test and had a strong positive so my journey begins again :) one downside is I haven't got an LMP so going by my miscarriage I'm about 5w 6d.

I have a scan in 2 days and I'm absolutely praying they see a heartbeat or even just a sack :( I'm hopeful, I've had no spotting at all, lots of pregnancy symptoms and they're worsening
