Has anyone any experience of this? Not me, a friend. Is it too soon for the body to do this again? Feeling worried. What are the risks?

I got pregnant about that sort of time after a c section.

Not ideal from a recovery point of view but I had a vbac with dc2 and although it was really hard both mentally and physically I wouldn't change it for the world.

They are now teen/pre teen (one year age gap).

It's hard (being pg/morning sickness with a new born) but gets so much easier pretty quickly.

It's not ideal and can cause problems (from what I was told after both my CS, not from personal experience). It is suggested you wait at least a year to make uterus rupture etc less likely so I would say your friend needs to see her GP asap. Depending on your area they can get a midwife appt sooner than self referral and then she'll likely be put under consultant led care quicker than if she just self refers via the usual method. But I'm sure that depends on your area/ trust.

It's not ideal, the previous wound hasn't really had enough time to heal but she won't be the first or the last!
They will probably keep a closer eye on her and may recommend that she has another cs rather than trying for a normal birth but it all depends on her situation and how the pregnancy progresses.

Thanks for the replies! I hope she will be OK. She seems fine about it, but I am a bit of a worrier!

This happened to me too. I was told small risk of rupture if I wanted to vbac (I didnt) but they would monitor throughout labour.
Two pregnancies close together are a bit tough with another child to look after though!
