Warning tmi post!!!!!!!!!!

Looking for some advice, if any of you ladies have been as unlucky as I'm feeling with the worst pregnancy symptom in the world.

Every 2 weeks give or take I get impacted 🙈🙈 been put on laxido sachets, fibre gel sachets, laxido syrup and suppositories. But nothing works.

Iv tried the whole eating high fiber drinking all of the normal stuff. It's so embarrassing. At times it can take hours to get rid of it.

My gp has said they can't help me no more and for me to keep getting rid of it myself, but this is causing me a lot more pain and discomfort each time. I don't know what to do

Laxido is a stool softner so should have liquidated everything and if u did the 8 packets in an hour then you should have gone by now.

If still nothing then time for hospital.

I've not had anything as severe as that, but I have been experiencing constipation and more wind than I'm happy with as a result. I've just ordered some probiotics and digestive enzymes from a company called Just For Tummies. I deliberated over it for ages and sent emails back and forth with the lady who owns the company, she was so friendly and knowledgeable I decided to go for it. I will let you know how I get on!

Oranges. Stop with the bananas and fill up on the oranges...

Following on from UserSnoozer I also find fresh figs helpful... expensive, but they seem to shift things!

Lactulose. Plenty of water. I've also heard prune juice is v. good.

Ugh sorry hit send too quick.

Are you on pregnancy vitamins at all, they gave me horrid constipation this time round and I'm taking laxido every 2 days for that reason - I've had an anal fissure so wouldn't wish anyone to get one if I can help it.

With laxido if impacted then do the 8 sachets once then every day take one satchet and you should be able to get rid of the plug and go easily enough - the Lactulose syrup will help ease it out but nothing else.

I would ask GP if a referral to a gastrologist is needed in case of any issues that maybe underlying such as gluten sensitivity etc.

The joys of pregnancy!

Thanks all. The meds the Drs have put me on don't soften my stools at all. It's horrible. I'm 24 weeks tomorrow and it's getting worse. I can't go in between no matter what I take it eat. I have done the 8 sachets and but still hasn't helped. I'm not managing to go in between either. I'm scared of any long term damage to the area as im having to literally pull it out. Other half made a joke saying you could prob smash a window with it. As Dr needed to do it the other day.

My gp just said keep doing it and wait till you have baby that's not helpful.

I'm not on no meds for pregnancy about vitamin D.

I've also read this lady's book, it's called Gut. She knows everything about the gut and pooing that there is to know! Have a look at her video for the perfect 'poo position' it does make a difference!
