Stabbing pain on lower right hand side? 12 weeks

I'm 12 weeks with dc2 and keep getting a really sharp stabbing pain down near my uterus. I did have some cysts before I was pregnant but it feels like a different place to the cyst pain, I regularly had. And it stopped as soon as I got pregnant.

It doesn't make a difference if I'm lying down and resting or walking around.
Should I just wait and see what they say at my scan on Friday or speak to my midwife today?
I don't want to bother her unnecessarily but it's a good 9/10 pain wise.

Forgot to add, I've had a private scan at 8 weeks which showed baby was measuring well and in the right place so no worries over ectopic.

Your right? Get checked. Don't want to worry you but that could be your appendix.

Yes, my right hand side but right down by my bikini line. It's not a constant pain, more of a sharp shocking pain x

Yeh I had appendicitis and it was in that region but you never know it could just be your uterus growing. It forever grows throughout pregnancy and will feel these pains quite often.
You need to make sure you speak to your midwife or GP about it though. Best not take chances!
Good luck Smile

It could be round ligament pain where the ligaments are stretching but I agree, get it checked or at least speak to midwife!

Thanks all, feel a bit stupid now as it's stopped since I posted!! Hopefully it will stay that way. Thanks again x
