TMI in post but worried about CM!

Been having light brown discharge when I wipe since yesterday. It's getting lighter now and I went to my GP who rang our local Epau but they advised due to me being 5+5 to just see how it goes and retest next week to see if it's still positive. I have my first midwife appointment Monday but I wanted opinions - see photo (sorry tmi) does this seem normal? I've only had slight twinges nothing painful and no blood as far as I've noticed! Just worried as I love this little bean so much already.

I'm glad you are feeling ok ok yourself. I've been exactly where you are now and I know how shattering it can all feel. All I can really suggest is keep busy otherwise you'll worry yourself into the ground. Talk if you need to as well, I found being about just to admit to DH how worried I was and to get comfort was a little balm in itself 🙂
I've still got everything crossed for you and I really hope everything is well when the next scan comes up! Did they take bloods by any chance?

MissSophieB397 · 29/01/2018 16:27

Well baby is definitely growing I did a clear blue this afternoon and it's gone from 2-3 last week to 3+ this week 😊😍

Fab news 🎉 What date is the next scan?

MissSophieB397 · 29/01/2018 18:42

@JediStoleMyBike a week Thursday but I'm so much more at ease now. Hopefully the little bean will show itself this time 😊 thank you! X

Thinking of you op hope everything is ok but the 3plus is really good xx

JediStoleMyBike · 29/01/2018 18:53

I've got everything crossed for you! 3+ is a fantastic sign. I only got 2-3 with my first pregnancy (MC) so it's always a massive reassurance in my books that the hormone levels are that high. Got 3+ with my second and current pregnancies so I am really really hoping for your little one 🙂

MissSophieB397 · 30/01/2018 06:55

@JediStoleMyBike thank you!!

How many weeks pregnant are you?

OP posts:
JediStoleMyBike · 30/01/2018 10:11

16 weeks tomorrow. It's flown by, which fingers crossed it will for you too after the upcoming scan 🙂 Really glad you are feeling more positive and at ease. It'll do you the world of good if you can relax a little!

MissSophieB397 · 30/01/2018 10:55

MissSophie - we will find out. I am far too impatient to wait 🙂 How are you feeling? How have things been?

MissSophieB397 · 31/01/2018 14:06

@JediStoleMyBike aw Have to update us!!

I've had pink spotting again this morning but again it stopped rang epu but they didn't seem to want to know told me to wait until next week which annoyed me. Hopefully all is okay 😊 keep feeling tired and sick and my boobs hurt! So seems okay xx

Ok ladies so I’m ttc for 8 months now & having irregular periods I recently been taking seven seas vitamins and this month started using ovulation test strips on the day I was ment to ovulate and 2 days prior I had 2 lines not too dark tho but day of ovulation I had 2 bold lines so me and oh done the baby dance ... it is now 4 days Past ovulation and I’m having brown/pink tinge cervical mucus when I wipe what could be causing this my period shouldn’t be due for 11 days ...

MissSophieB397 · 31/01/2018 16:26

@Kirstylee95 the only way you know is by testing but 4 doo is a bit early. I was 12 dpo until I got my positive so I'd hold on a bit longer 😊 I didn't have any of my pink and brown discharge until I was pregnant and I still get it now so unsure if that's a sign xx

OP posts:
Kirstylee95 · 31/01/2018 16:41

@MissSophieB397 I don't want to test yet as I no it's way too early but I did however do a ovulation dip test to see if it could possibly be ovulation bleeding but that test come back negative sorry for tmi but it's mixed in with the clear discharge you get when fertile but it's more brown/pink but not enough to have to wear anything if that makes sense ! Xxx

JediStoleMyBike · 31/01/2018 17:06

Kirstylee - realistically all you can do at this point is wait. Our bodies do all sorts of weird things so my advice would be not to worry, wait to see if your period comes and then test if not. There really is nothing that anyone can really advise otherwise. If you are concerned - i.e. It continues or the amount of blood worsens and is accompanied by pain I'd recommend speaking to your doctor but it doesn't sound out of the ordinary really. Sometimes cycles just so squiffy.

MissSophie - I think it's hopeful that they aren't panicking at the EPU, when I've been they said how common small amounts of bleeding are. Your symptoms are also reassuring! I can only speak of my own experiences but I remember vividly being worried that my symptoms had gone approx 7 weeks into the pregnancy and then a few days later the brown bleeding started. It turned to red clots the next day. Can't wait until next Thursday on your behalf!! X

MissSophieB397 · 31/01/2018 18:26

@JediStoleMyBike il definitely keep you informed. Received my 12 week scan letter today and the thought of making it to that makes me so happy. Hopefully il have a sticky bean. Just want to have a healthy pregnancy never realised how worrying this first part is. Now I can relate to others I used to always think people were being dramatic before I fell pregnant 😩 x

OP posts:
JediStoleMyBike · 31/01/2018 20:32

Oh god, don't! The early pregnancy days are literally the worst! I'd love to say it gets better or easier but it doesn't, not really! If you're not worried about the baby moving too much or not enough, your checking and double checking food lists to make sure you can eat what you are about to have. And then trying to work out when the last time you saw your feet was. You've got all that to come 😂

Hopefully after the next scan the 12-weeker will roll around without worry! X

MissSophieB397 · 01/02/2018 20:41

0 pain but had this this evening when I wiped - Mum and family say it's nothing as long as I'm not in pain and it's not massive clots but I'm so worried! 😢 I have been doing a lot today rushing around. Going to ring epu again but I know they'll just palm me off

OP posts:
JediStoleMyBike · 01/02/2018 21:20

It might all be fine yet. That does look like a little clot which would have me worried too I think. Might it be worth ringing EPU in the morning and explaining that the discharge has increased and gone red with a clot or two and just seeing what they say?
Like I said, there's every chance that it's all still fine but I'd want to know now if I were you. They can't just leave you like this, panicking and worrying! Thinking about you Flowers

JediStoleMyBike · 02/02/2018 11:55

How are you today MissSophie? Thinking about you xxx

MissSophieB397 · 02/02/2018 13:20

@JediStoleMyBike baby is fine! Had an early scan again saw a flicker heart beat. Here it is!

I'm glad people seem to be having happy news on here 💕 now if you could send some baby dust I'd appreciate it hehe ! My bleeding was a mystery it only lasted 2 days and wasn't enough to wear a pad or anything it was mixed with cervical mucus and brown/pinkish in colour but was only at 4 days after ovulation so not entirely sure what it was
