I’ve been reading about it this weekend and watching videos on YouTube and it sounds great. I haven’t signed up for a course yet. This will be my first baby but I’ve had a number of miscarriages, so feel quite anxious and would like to feel happy and relaxed instead!
Would love to hear if anyone else is planning a hypnobirth or has done it before.

I'd say it's a bit early but can't do any harm and it's v relaxing!

I always fell asleep Twitchett, still seemed to seep in somehow! I didn't listen to it during labour but there is a CD specifically for labour maybe there's a download too?

I'm 37 weeks and have started listening to the Maggie Howell track every night. I last about 5mins and then I'm asleep but I do wake up when she does the count down at the end. Hopefully it's sinking in somehow!

I’ve just ordered Maggie Howell’s package of MP3s. Can’t wait to listen when I get home. Thanks for all the replies!

I did it when I was pregnant and it's helped so much, I stayed calm all throughout labour just following my body's lead and had my son quite quickly in under 2hrs even my midwife said she had to do hardly anything and was really impressed as it was my first baby!

I did the couples private course, used the Maggie Howell stuff afterwards and went to weekly relaxation classes. I was pretty cynical.....still am a bit but I did feel that I could cope with the discomfort during labour by trying to stay in the zone and remain calm. After 5 day labour it ended in ECS but I'm sure it was made easier by remembering some of what I'd learned x

I'm in the middle of doing a course and so far think it's brilliant. I feel really positive about labour and generally feel better prepared mentally for whatever is thrown at me, whether planned or not.

Any particular courses you have done that you’d recommend?
