I have been having very strong contractions since Sunday now. After being in hospital for so long they told me baby's head can't engage as I'm very constipated and they sent me home to get rid of it so my labour can start but the longer I am staying like this my labour is slowly stopping as my body can't do anything. I am 37 weeks now so it's safe for baby to come but please I have no idea how I can get rid of it quickly with stuff I have in my house.

Shocking they sent you away with no advice!. A stool softener is what you need - of the recommendations on this thread I used movicol, in liquid form. Worked quite quickly for me, I used throughout pregnancy

Good luck

Have you off loaded @MummyJem97, or indeed have you had your little baby ? 😄

I remember being doped up saying "I need to poo, I need to poo" and a huge big crap emerged and was quickly wrapped up and whisked away by the midwife. My husband denied it happened at the time but admitted it later.

Apparently it's quite common. At least I hope so

Well OP!! Any news! Have you delivered a bouncing 8lb bundle of joy yet?
