What point did you start buying the big things like the cot and buggy. Getting the nursery ready.
I'm 13 weeks and want to be able to spread the cost over the remaining 6 months and buy things gradually rather than buy everything in one go.
DH doesn't agree.

After twenty week scan. Ours didn't go well which has put me off a bit, however hopeful after a scan tomorrow to be discharged back to midwife care and we can buy some more stuff (I'm 25 weeks).

I'd have hated a house full of baby stuff after bad news at 20 week scan.

I didn't want to buy too early as I was so scared of something going wrong.

Started buying around 24 weeks. I would have waited longer but wanted to take advantage of January sales!

I'm 18 weeks and have my anomaly scan in about a week. Have bought nothing yet and have told myself not to do buy anything until at least after 24 weeks as that's when baby becomes viable if God forbid it were born that early (although still only like 50% chance). Really I think we will wait until 30 weeks or so. I'm too worried about things going wrong and don't want lots of baby stuff around in case we get any bad news or whatever, plus just find it all a bit overwhelming, don't think I'd like a lot of baby stuff in the house when I have to wait so long to actually meet baby and use any of the stuff. Although a relative of DH's has bought us and given him a changing mat last week Hmm which I think is super odd...
