Because I am certainly not Grin

Put on 1.5 stone by 20 weeks.

Spent 16 weeks vomiting.

Have had diarrhoea since week 6.

Had thrush.

My bum is growing faster than my belly.

Seem to have developed cellulite over my entire body.

Have developed spots on shoulders, upper arms.

Boobs massive but feature big blue veins.

I’ve not even got the nice hair I was promised, it’s going rapidly grey and I don’t want to dye it while pregnant.

Nails are cracked and crumbling (they were rubbish pre-pregnancy too).

I did have a pedicure so at least I have nice toenails!

Anyone else as sexy as me?!

Lighthearted thread btw. I didn’t get pregnant quickly and am very grateful Smile

Yes, Igh, I can relate to the brushing teeth thing going back a few weeks...

katmarie · 16/01/2018 11:09

39+6 here. Ive got swollen hands and feet which gives me claw fingers because I can't clench my fists properly, and I'm having to wear DP's socks as mine are too tight. My bump is enormous, I look like I've swallowed a small hippo. And it's hairy! Why is my bump hairy???

My boobs are equally ridiculous, totally out of control. I have grey hairs everywhere (not just on my head - so mortifying). I can't reach to shave my legs any more so dp has to do it. And my hair swings wildly between lush and glorious locks one day and dipped in a chip pan on another, despite me doing the same things every day. I also waddle when I walk and limp a lot due to hip pain and spd, and my tens machine is a constant fixture at the moment. And I snore due to blocked sinuses. That and the toilet trips 20 times a night must make me a joy to share a bed with.

Oddly my dp keeps telling me he thinks I'm gorgeous, time for his annual eye test and psych eval I think! (but he's definitely a keeper).

Loosemoose28 · 16/01/2018 12:31

27 weeks and my hips are shot- full on waddle with a groaning sound effect.

I used to always get away with 4 days between hair washes now its greasy on day 2.

And we won't discuss how much I have spent on caneston- yes its free from GP but boots is over the roadHmm

ForeverHopeful21 · 16/01/2018 14:34

Piles and boob sweat Blush

GoodluckJonathan76 · 16/01/2018 15:22

Me too. 16.5 weeks and feeling absolutely hideous.

Twitchett22 · 16/01/2018 18:46

Currently 33 weeks, put on 2 stone (at last weigh in 6 weeks ago Hmm) covered in spots and unable to reach to shave ANYWHERE. Fed up of being fat and hairy and walking like an old lady because i ache so much. Although OP you're ok to dye your hair, its about the only thing thats made me feel better for the one day it looks good from the salon lol. So far been spared the piles, please someone tell me i would have got them by now if i was going to?! Haha i was definitely expecting gorgeous hair and glowing skin with a neat little bump, how stupid Wink

mustbemad17 · 16/01/2018 18:51

Even if i had gotten it into my head that i was some sort of glowing, suave, drop dead gorgeous 20 weeker...my gran brought me crashing to earth this evening by telling me - over skype - that i definitely am not glowing & will have some work to do once baby is here. Thanks, gran 😂

YouBetterWORK · 16/01/2018 19:33

38 weeks here. Don't feel it but have been told by various people I'm looking great. I said to DH they don't see me with the hormonal teary face, half naked in bed puffing with breathlessness, swigging a bottle of gaviscon and cracker crumbs down my chest!

Bump has been neat though and touch wood no stretch marks or lines (I've done it now though, tempted fate!) Although it is very hairy! As is my foof which I've not seen in months except in a full length mirror where I'm treated to a view of Sherwood Forest.

I've always had a bit of a tum and bum so have that wider side on look going, usually live in empire line stuff. Now I wear figure hugging dresses as I don't have to hide my stomach so that's one good thing! And my arse looks tiny in comparison!

AHungryMum · 16/01/2018 19:55

Hahaha I love you all for sharing these. Brilliant. At least we are all in good company...

I'm another member of the waddling rather than walking club (it's a strong look), I have lost my coordination and balance so am prone to tripping over my own feet ATM, and I too have what can only be described as very 70s-looking pubic hair (as I can't shave it because my bump is now so big that I can't see it to shave when I'm in the bath).

I also cannot remember the last time I wore matching underwear. It might have been October? (I'm now 36 weeks pregnant).

I held off on getting my hair dyed for ages and I was already overdue to get my roots done when I found out I was pregnant, so for a lot of my pregnancy my grey roots were MASSIVE on the greys I did have. Eek.

Fingers crossed, no piles or stretch marks so far, but I'm aware I'm not out of the woods yet because some people don't get them until after they've given birth....

Also - I seem to be snoring more?! Not quite sure why. I had a nap the other day and woke myself up with a snorty-type snore. Always a powerful look, that.

Situp · 16/01/2018 19:58

Diastasis recti here so my belly button is sticking out so far it is visible under everything except my coat. Looks like an ugly little penis.

StylishMummy · 16/01/2018 20:24

I'm proper stunning.

Greasy skin and dry hair.
Nails are paper thin.
Hair growing fucking EVERYWHERE.
Bulging belly button
Cellulite hanging from my KNEES.

Sob - I can't even have a gin to make myself feel better Grin

AHungryMum · 16/01/2018 20:27

Oh yeah and my belly button is also protruding quite savagely. So weird...

sammy891 · 16/01/2018 20:30

30 weeks and sharing a lot of what you ladies have too Grin

-piles (eek!)
-bad skin...developed pregnancy rosacea
-back pain
-chest infection..on antibiotics now Sad
-tired 24/7

fia101 · 16/01/2018 20:32

I'm fat and meh. I've a big fat pregnant face at 26 weeks. Waddling to work. Humiliating. Why can I be all skinny long legs and a smart bump.

SecretLimonadeDrinker · 16/01/2018 20:49

Not just me then!

I'm only ten weeks but skin is awful, nails are awful, am constantly nauseous and breathless, hair looks straggly and grey, already got a bump which I'm trying to hide as only my/DH's bosses know. Can't even eat chocolate to make myself feel better, as that, cake, biscuits, pudding all make me feel extremely queasy. Oh, and I stink. Told DH he is a lucky man! 😂

Mooveover · 16/01/2018 21:06

Flowers for all you sexy ladies!

I forgot to mention my nose is permanently bleeding a bit, and I wee myself a bit each time I sneeze.

Mooveover · 16/01/2018 21:07

Will I go back to normal after the birth? Is there any hope? Especially the cellulite - I really don’t want to keep that!

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 16/01/2018 22:02

So I am 30w pg with twins and haven't put on that much weight.

Shame about the piles, ruined PF, random spots on my legs, distinctive waddle.... a lady actually stopped me in public the other day to say "you poor woman, are you in pain?"

Only when I look at my stretch marks....

Namechanger2735 · 16/01/2018 22:24

I still had piles from pregnancy with my now 16 month old DD. 35 weeks pregnant on I've put a big ole exclamation mark on the buggers.
My skin is falling off, I look and feel like shit. I've never been more tired. What were we talking about

moita · 17/01/2018 17:47

20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. I have to pee as soon as I feel the urge. If my bladder's full and I cough or sneeze I piss myself.

Glamourous I am not. And yes, was very deligent about doing pelvic floor exercises both during and after being pregnant with my first.

MrsNjie · 21/01/2018 04:35

Yep... I'm 27yo with suddenly LOADS of grey hair, 3 stone heavier and as a result legs that resemble tree trunks...

I had the bad skin, crumbling nails until around 30 weeks but seems to have improved now (almost 35wks) but I still wouldn't say I'm "glowing" - I think that must be a myth!

My first pregnancy I was 17yo and symptom free.... second time around (plus 10 years) I have not been so lucky!
