Flu jab?

Does anyone know if it's worth me getting a flu jab? I'm 5+4 and I'm just unsure whether to wait a little longer or just go along and have it done soon.. what does everyone think? Thanks xx

Sooner better really. It can take 2 weeks for the jab to 'take' properly, and flu season is already in pretty full swing. If you're gin g to get it dine, i can't think if any good reasons to delay.

Have you worked it's why you feel unsure?

Have you registered your pregnancy at the GP surgery yet? When I did, I received a letter with invitation 2 days later.

As a nurse and fellow pregnant lady I would say get it done now. I didn't have mine (despite it being offered as part of my job) and got super paranoid about flu. I now have it arranged for Thursday! We're still in flue season with some bad strains this year.

Definitely asap. Flu season and it won’t be pretty when you’re pregnant! I was hospitalised last time

Id get it done now. I work in a hosp and have jab every yr but this yr due to feeling almost constantly like im coming down with a bug from my germy daughter ive delayed it. After being scared to death in core trainimg today i went straight to occy health to have it today as im pregnant also.

@scaevola I've never had it from when I can remember! Haha, I didn't realise it was thing you should get whilst pregnant. Il be sure to go get that done this week then! Thank you all! ❣️

Dear OP, I would have it ASAP as flu season is in full swing and most GP surgeries would run out of the vaccine by Feb. Most flu vaccines expire by May / June this year anyway. It's good to protect yourself against the nasty flu. 👍
