39 weeks today and just went for a pee to find my underwear soaked! Not entirely sure if it's my waters or just discharge so currently lying in bed with a pad on and a complete nervous wreck!

I'm getting occasional pains/cramps in my side, but not sure if this is contractions starting or nerves that it might be contractions lol. This is my first baby so I'm freaking out a little bit just now and not entirely sure what to expect/what to do next.

Not sure why I'm posting, just trying to keep myself occupied!

I'm right there with you op. 39+5 here.
Period type pains, lower back pain, braxton hicks.
So bored of waiting now.

@ijustwannadance so fed up waiting! Hopefully not long for us now though Thanks been getting some sharp aches in my lower belly but don't wanna get hopeful in case it's another false alarm

With my first, the proper contractions were really obvious in lower pelvis.

Loads of pressure down below. It's such an effort getting upstairs for a wee Smile

Get checked, mine ruptured and were just a trickle so I didn't go in. The next day they went properly with a big gush (but the same feeling) but by the time baby was born they had been ruptured for twice as long as they advise. Had an infection in my uterus which was easily treated but still, best to avoid. So if you feel they've gone, go in and they can check for sure. Good luck, exciting! X
