I am just being paranoid again! Hmm Just had this for lunch and it was v yummy! I know we have to be careful with ready made salads and dressings etc but is it me being over cautious about the ingredients in this? The only thing I wasn’t sure about was the quinoa but as it’s been cooked, I’m guessing it is ok?Confused

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I can't imagine why it wouldn't be ok?

There's no reason to be overly cautious about pre-made salads or dressings. Just make sure they are in date and have been properly refrigerated like any other food.

Thank you ladies! I am a lot more cautious in this pregnancy than I was with my DD1 which was 7 years ago... maybe i’ve become more anxious with age! Back then I ate what I felt like (within reason!) and didn’t question everything as much...Hmm

Just have a look at the NHS guidance and don't even give any thought to other claims of foods that aren't safe.

Why do you have to be careful with salad? (Not that there's any danger of me eating one)

NooNooHead · 11/01/2018 14:34

I think I was thinking more unwashed salad and the risk of soil having toxoplasmosis but then that is v low, and virtually nothing with the type of salad I ate. I’m sure it’s more of a risk with those bagged salads that say ‘washed and ready to eat’ - i’d always wash them anyway.
