What's everyone's opinions?

My sister bought me a Babymoov cosydream for my baby but I'm scared to use it after reading some bad reviews on them.

I haven’t found them necessary and the health advice tends to be Moses basket or cot without anything else in it.

I haven’t looked a lot into them but I believe a lot of shops stopped selling them recently because they have been linked to deaths.

Moses basket worked a charm for me :) I raised the head slightly though! DS is still in it at 11 weeks

I had a babymoov and I have to say my DS loved it. We coslept and we used it for both naps and overnight, he also liked being swaddled. He really liked being contained and hated the moses basket not once did I manage to get him to sleep in there. We used it until 5 months, my DS didn’t appear very interested in rolling around so I wasn’t concerned about him suffocating. Also made travelling easier, never had to worry about change of environment as his (slightly stinky - my baby was a puker) babymoov packed easily. Admittedly I used it before all the advice changed and retailers withdrew baby positioners, it’s worth reading up the latest advice and deciding what’s best for you.

You might find your baby doesn’t need it- DD has always been a good sleeper. When she was tiny and spooked by the openness of the co-sleeper cot we popped her in the pram bassinet (tested safe for overnight sleeping). After a week or so she was ok to go in her cot and didn't need anything to “contain” her other than her sleeping bag.

Since the advice has changed about sleep positioners maybe try swaddling and getting a non-hazardous sleep aid (Ewan the Sheep ❤️❤️❤️) that’s kept well out of the way of sleeping baby.
