My 12 week scan is tomorrow and my anxiety is causing me so much upset

I need someone to try and reassure me that everything will hopefully be okay and I need to relax. I have my scan tomorrow and I just have this feeling they are going to tell me there's no heartbeat? I don't know why I feel this way as I had a scan at 7 weeks ( due to cramping) and they found a fast strong heartbeat and I had my bloods taken the Friday just passed as I'm having backache and cramps around front and they said my hcg levels are still high and where they need to be. Does that rule out the baby not being alive? I know I probably sound crazy but I have all these thought going through my head😥

I'm more anxious about this pregnancy as it's the second one and again a total surprise after being told we wouldn't be able to have any.

Defo nowhere near you anxiety but I get the fear, uncertainty and quite literal shakes waiting on a scan (getting one tomorrow at 9 weeks due to small bleed).

I would defo ask for some support, there will be groups around you for support and it's a great way to meet people etc.

It's just awfull isn't it I dread what I'm going to be like in the waiting room I really do I'm sure I'm going to drive my mother and partner out the room, I think because my little one wasent planned but somehow has become the best thing to ever happen to me and has been my missing piece I'm so desperate for everything to be okay I'm sending myself into overdrive, I hope your scan goes okay x

If your anxiety is so high, you can stay on meds. I was on mine until 36 weeks (had to go back on them at 10 weeks as it was so bad). Talk to your doc if you're struggling to cope x

Know how you feel I was the exact same, had my 12 week scan all was fine now feeling anxious about my next one 🙈 think it’s totally normal try your best not to stress x

Anything can happen at any stage pregnancy is a rollercoaster of emotions. Just try and relax and hope for the best. 🤞

I really hope all went well for you today OP. My scan was perfect and I got pushed forward by a few days so now have a new due date of the 15th July. It was so incredible seeing it jumping around and waving :)
