I had a Cossatto giggle. Loads of funky colours!!

We found after the 6/7 monthish mark a foldable stroller was much lighter and easier to use. We had lots of issues with our travel system though and had it refunded and got a silver cross pop.

This time round we have gone for the Mothercare journey - I love it - very good value for money and includes a car seat.

Celticlassie · 05/01/2018 19:54

I have a Joolz day and love it. A lot of people said I'd soon switch to a folding stroller but although I have one it's the Joolz I use day to day.

JohnLapsleyParlabane · 05/01/2018 19:56

It totally depends on what you are looking for. Rural or urban lifestyle? Public transport/car? How tall are you?
From personal experience : urban lifestyle, public transport daily, petite mummy= Bugaboo Bee is perfect. I got an Armadillo Flip instead and regretted it daily.
And I wish I'd never bothered getting a car seat to fit on the chassis.

Thank you both. I wanna make such i get my moneys worth as they all £200+. Don't wanna spend so much money for it to break in months down line

Uppababy Cruz here

K9pal7 · 05/01/2018 19:59

@JohnLapsleyParlabane Am 5"4 and don't really use public transport as my partner drives (do my lessons) I'll just need it for more walking around town and just getting a few shopping bits.

It really depends where you are planning on using it and if you think that you might have a second in a year or two.

Do you regularly get on buses?
Do you need a large basket underneath for shopping?
Do you need it to be easily foldable to put in the back of a car (and how big is your boot)?
Are you planning for a second child soon and need to be able to convert it into a twin?
Are you planning on taking your DC to nursery and needing to leave it outside for the entire day (in a unlocked area)?

We got a deal on Silver Cross about 4 years ago now.

Pram travel system that turns into buggy, multiway traveller, all accessories and a car seat isofix.

Word of warning on Isofix.

1 - make sure your can can have it, think all cars over 2006 have the spaces for it.

2- you need to go to an approved garage to get it installed as it's safer so expect another bill.

K9pal7 · 05/01/2018 20:04

@Kpo58 would need a good size basket as i don't drive atm and like to do as much walking as i can. My boyfriend drivers and the boot is a good size. Not planning on having anymore in the near further not until my 1st is about 6/7. Not sure about nursery

Uppababy Vista has a huge basket I've been eyeing up the new Loic White version for when i finally get my BFP Grin if you looking at two close together or twins its convertible it can even carry 3 kids with buggy board attached Shock

Kpo58 · 05/01/2018 20:08

Have a look at the Graco brand. They mostly all seem to have huge baskets under them and I can usually put a normal shop in the basket without needing to have extra bags.

Praisebe · 05/01/2018 20:09

Also don't get too worried about isofix its not a big deal and a car seat that is belted in or has a belted base is just as safe as isofix so long as it's fitted properly

Sunshinegirl82 · 05/01/2018 20:13

Mamas and papas are worth a look and good deals in the sale at the moment. Some on a Facebook group I'm on posted a link to a cybex that's on offer at the moment at toys r us that looks good (although I don't think the seat unit parent faces) I'll see if I can find the link.

I have an icandy peach which I love but it's quite expensive.

K9pal7 · 05/01/2018 20:16

Thank you I'll have to have a look. My boyfriend will be working a lot so we probably won't be in the car as much especially once summer as am due around July and going to try to make the most of the sun (if we get any)

I had a Mothercare 3 in 1 travel system that was pretty good.

SomehowSomewhere1 · 06/01/2018 01:30

Another vote for the Mothercare Journey, got the three wheel version at one of their events for £270.

Soon2bemum2017 · 06/01/2018 01:51

Maxicosy have just released their own one which is meant to be amazing

Glitterandunicorns · 06/01/2018 02:21

I spent more time researching travel systems than my car! We eventually went for the Uppababy Cruz and it's been great. I'd definitely recommend it.

K9pal7 · 06/01/2018 17:45

Thank you. @Glitterandunicorns thought i was the only one doing loads of research into travel systems 🙈 i didn't really expect there to be so many.
