Just a quick question to ask how late into your pregnancy you would travel abroad for one last holiday before baby arrives?

Me personally, probably not after about 32 ish weeks. My first was born naturally at 37 weeks, so they really can sneak up on you. I was really not wanting to be away at all from 34 weeks with her (like not even to visit family in the UK 2 hours away), so for a flight abroad, it would be even sooner. It would also depend on how healthy you are. I've had relatively straightforward pregnancies (though with some back and pelvic pain), but if there were any complications obviously I would have been a bit more cautious. It probably depends a bit on the flight time and destination as well.

I drove back from Spain @37 weeks. With a huge brown bump!

I wouldn't do it after 28 weeks which is when you need a GPs note anyway.

I've told OH I don't even want to travel far within the UK after 32 weeks.

Thanks everyone. I think we're going to stick with UK, with this being first pregnancy and so far feeling terrible throughout I don't want to worry I am going to feel awful for the duration. I think that's probably the safest bet!

I flew frequently throughout my pregnancy, the last flight at 36 weeks. It was fine. The cabin crew made a massive fuss of me. Was lovely.

I flew to the Caribbean for our honeymoon at 28 weeks. They upgraded me to first class as well! Dh wasn’t happy about being left in cattle class Grin
